Tam Coc Phuong Nhi Homestay

Location was central but off the main road so still peaceful

Nothing was great

The location was great as it was close to the main road in Tam Coc bit far enough away that we heard no noise, not even motor bikes. Our group had three rooms and the others had very nice ones with a view of the natural beauty of the area (see photo), and we had an inner room with only a window to the corridor (which made it very quiet but with no view). The AC worked well and reasonably quickly (it doesn't run if the key isn't in the slot). The hot water works well but you need to remember to switch it on. There is a mini fridge. The family seemed quite nice and helped bring bags up the stairs, but we were only in town for one night so didn't really get to know them. Everything was very clean. 30 to 60 seconds walk from a few cafes and restaurants, including one further back on the street with gluten free pancakes and one on the main street with a full gluten free menu. If returning I would choose one of the rear rooms.

The Booking.com page needs to be updated as breakfast wasn't an option at this homestay, although there are many options nearby. The bathroom layout in our room was cramped (I didn't look at the others) with the toilet close to the wall and the shower between the toilet and sink. The only place for toilet paper was behind you on the toilet. I would have put the shower at the end and the toilet in the middle which would make it more practical. A small corner shelf might help. The fixtures seem a bit fragile - they work and are clean but I felt like I shouldn't pull to hard on anything. None of these are deal-breakers and I still recommend the homestay. Finding a clean homestay with no outside noise at night is more important than a bathroom layout but if the owners are looking to improve, that is where I would start.

Todo estaba muy muy limpio. La familia era un encanto, nos ayudaron en todo lo que podian. Nos facilitaron el transporte hasta hanoi (mas barato que es 12go asia) y nos alquilaron una moto por 1 dias por 120000 vnd. La verdad que estuvimos genial, no habia bichos, habia aire acondicionado, nevera, tienen servicio de lavanderia. 100% recomendado.

Todo estuvo bien, cerca del centro y todo.
