Perfect week in Derry in a lovely, warm and comfortable accommodation

The property is fantastic. Everything a group or family need is there! Comfortable, very clean, finished to an exceptional standard. The bathroom has a bath and a shower! The bath was great for the little one. The location is perfect for us all and right in the centre with ease of access to Donegal and the Giants Causeway for trips out of Derry for the family whilst I worked.

Nothing. Just a note for future guests - The street is one way and parking can be tight. We did park both cars on the street.

Good location and good appointed kitchen with everything we needed including a washing machine.

Parking is a problem, it was poring rain when we arrived, so were very lucky someone moved in the street out the front or we would have had very wet luggage.

Great family break in a fabulous house.

The property is stunning, beautifully styled and decorated with many small touches that made the stay more enjoyable.

It was very noisy at night when pubs were closing up and early in the morning when bottle skips were being emptied however this was not a dealbreaker. The location and property itself outweighed the noise and we would 100% stay here again.

Highly recommend, modern, spacious and perfect location.

Helen's House was modern, immaculate, spacious and had plenty of amenities. Plenty of space for kids to chill away from parents. Location was perfect close to shops, bars and restuarants. Fresh milk, butter and jam supplied for breakfast.

Excellent Property

Great location for the city. We were able to walk everywhere! Local shop very useful for getting the essentials. The owners have fully fitted this property with everything you might need.

It was a little noisy at night when the pubs were emptying but to be expected with such a central location.

Helen’s House is ideally located. Close to loads of bars, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. The house is beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Really couldn’t ask for more. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended house in central location

The house was well appointed and had very good attention to detail. Plenty of towels, generous tea and coffee provided milk and mineral water. The facilities were very good, and comfortable seating options. The very central location is excellent which allowed us to walk to the main sites. Communication beforehand and during the stay was excellent.

The mattress in the main bedroom was a little uncomfortable. Apart from that lots of good quality bedding and pillows provided.

Perfect location, very modern and very clean. Beds super comfortable and rooms were spacious. Kitchen had all appliances you could want! Host was really lovely and helpful.

A little noise from nearby bars in the evening, but windows shut the majority of it out and it didn’t affect our stay or sleep.

Great location close to Derry Walls, Guildhall and Peace Bridge. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. Seemed to be newly renovated and very clean.

We did find free parking but it was not as close to the house as we’d have liked.

Delightful townhouse in Derry.

This is an amazing property. The location is excellent, close to all amenities. The decor is so tasteful , beautiful and restful. It was fabulously equipped, with lots of extra towels, teatowels, tea coffee, and milk and water in the fridge. Paul was an excellent host and even had fresh flowers in the patio for us!! We loved this property and can't wait to stay there again!!

Derry city weekend trip

We loved the convenient, central location of the house. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bedding was lovely and fresh and there was milk, cereal, tea and coffee left for us. The host gave very clear instructions on getting access to the house and checked in with us over the weekend via text. A very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Winter short stay

The house was immaculate. Plenty of towels were provided along with other essentials; tea, coffee, milk, butter, biscuits. Owner called to check we had everything and answered any questions we had. Location was exactly as described close to the city walls. Weather was cold but the house was lovely and warm. Excellent central location. Highly recommend this property for a short stay in Londonderry.

Beautiful house in the centre of the city.

Voted by all the family as the best of our 5 Northern Ireland accommodations. The only one my husband could imagine living in. Very central location, 50 metres from town walls. Beautifully decorated, beautifully clean, very spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 small living rooms. Galley style kitchen with utility room was larger than I thought it would be. The large main bathroom had bath and separate shower, plus there was a ground floor toilet. There are spare towels and toilet roll everywhere and masses of soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc, so very well equipped. Even milk, water butter and jam in the fridge. They have tried to think of everything.

Nothing, it was lovely. It is worth noting, though, that it is next to a pub and round the corner from one of the busiest streets for night-life in the city. It is not quiet, especially at weekends, sounds of music, cars, and revellers, though there is double glazing to dull the sound a little. It is also a challenge to park outside the house, though persistence does pay off eventually. However, you have live, authentic, Irish and modern music, every night, 100 metres from your front door, one of the highlights of my holiday.

Fabulous house in a prime location

We just stayed in Helen’s House the last two nights. Have to say it was the cleanest Air BnB I’ve ever stayed in. The house seemed to be newly renovated with all mod cons. It was beautifully decorated. It was equipped with all kitchen appliances. There were towels for us to use and they stocked water & milk in the fridge! Hand soap in sinks and bubble bath etc there. Have to say it was a really nice touch! Would highly recommend this to anyone staying here. Location wise, it’s excellent for anyone looking to walk about the town or go for food and drinks. It’s right beside the famous pub Paedar’s and others too. Although it’s beside this steeet, the house must be sound proofed because we heard no noise.

Parking is outside on a very high hilled street. The first day we arrived it was full. We had to drive around. After 7pm there are usually spaces. The second night I had to park one street over called Harvey’s Street. So if worked out okay. Just bear this in mind. I did think it was a bit expensive. We paid €400 for two nights. But taking the high standard of the property into consideration with the location, that’s prob why it was dear
