Lovely quiet room, comfortable bed, great shower!

This room is very close to the station, which worked well for me. If you don't mind a walk it's easy enough to get into the centre of Cambridge within half an hour and if not, it's close to busstops and there are plenty of taxi's at the station, which really is only 2 minutes away. Shops are very close by and there are a variety of places to go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't want to go into the centre as well. The room is exactly as can be seen on the pictures, clean and quiet. Although this is a room within the owners home, there were very little sounds. Unfortunately, I am used to a very noisy environment, day and night, and this quiet alongside a comfy mattress and what I believe to be a down feather duvet was lovely for a great night's sleep! As I feel cold very easily I always hope accommodation isn't too cold at this time of year, but this room has it's own thermostat and was kept very nice and warm. The shower is very nice too! There is a small outside area that I was told I could use as well, however due to the ongoing rainy weather I did not do so. I can see this would be lovely when the weather is better though! I would definitely stay here again if/when returning to Cambridge.

There is nothing not to like. Just be mindful to read the description of the property properly and be aware of the location (close to the station rather than central) and the check-in time (5pm, which is a little later than most hotels).

Stay lacked expected guest privacy, with the setup feeling intrusive.

Great location

Passing through the owner’s living room, where personal items like laundry were visible, felt a bit uncomfortable and intrusive. Also being woken up by normal household noises, e.g., emptying of a dishwasher before 7am isn’t what you expect. Throughout the stay, you dont quite feel the level of privacy or independence you would normally expect from a hotel or hostel, and at times it felt as though I lacked personal space. Definitely not an option for couples

Well managed spacious comfortable bed and bathroom close to station and other amenities.

Both the bedroom and bathroom are spacious and comfortable with a door which opens so that you can get fresh air into the room. The bathroom is appointed to a high standard with plenty of room for comfort. Fan and hair dryer provided. Easy check and and responsive, flexible, understanding host. Short walk from the station, bus stops, super markets and restaurants.

Chambre chez l'habitant et non logement entier

La chambre et la salle de bain étaient grandes et propres avec des serviettes mises à disposition. Le balcon à l'extérieur était un plus et la localisation idéale, le logement est silencieux malgré la gare juste à côté.

Nous avons été très surpris de voir que c'était un logement partagé. Les propriétaires louent en fait une chambre, et la cuisine n'est pas à disposition. Les photos peuvent induire en erreur. Les propriétaires étaient discrets.
