Nice

Nice and quiet but still close to all the attractions of Koh Tao. Bed firm for western standards but still comfortable. Nice check in. You can book a few tours from the host. Small selection of snacks and toast station for breakfast was an added bonus. Nice to have a balcony.

A little off the main road up a hill but fine if you are able to walk. It’s not too far.

Very friendly owners! Great location. Very clean. Clothes to beach, cafes, and restaurants, but isolated enough to be very quiet at night! On the main road!

Walk to the beach was great for me but if you have mobility issues or don't enjoy hills get a scooter!

Terrible value and rude, disrespectful and unhelpful staff

There is a nice view from several of the rooms.

The facilities look nothing remotely like the photos. It’s dilapidated and in a state of serious disrepair. The staff, especially the general manager is an extremely passive aggressive and unhelpful person. Also, they have signs all over the grounds and rooms of a long list of things you’re not allowed and policies not listed on the Booking.com platform. Including collecting a deposit which is also not disclosed on Booking.com

lovely stay :)

great price for the location as the island is a generally more expensive! spacious room good if you have backpacks. so many things to do in the area lovely beach so many cafes and restaurants! staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was good for a short stay

we got a budget room so didn’t have air conditioning so it was very hot - however it was not bad for a few nights. the bed was on the firmer side but again not terrible for short stay. overall we had a great stay :)

Complaint about my stay at Tommy Resort Dear [Owner’s Name], I am writing to let you know that my stay at Tommy Resort was a very unpleasant and frightening experience. When I entered the room, I immediately wanted to cancel because it felt unsafe and unclean. You insisted that I stay for one night, and I agreed, but after that, I could no longer remain there. The shower had almost no water pressure, the bed was full of ants, and when I came back later, a large spider was crawling towards my pillow. I tried calling you several times, but there was no answer. The reception was also closed, so I had no way to reach anyone. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe, and around 11:30 PM, I packed my belongings and left the room. I spent the rest of the night outside because I didn’t know where else to go. I hope you understand that this situation was unacceptable, and I kindly ask you to refund the full amount of my booking. Kind regards, Brian

i can recommend

the staff was super friendly, the hotel is in a good location and the is free snacks and tea. its super chill and silent even though its just a five minute walk to the beach and to all the bars. we had a little balony and our room good cleaned every other day, we good free water every day. it was a little bit hot in the night since there is no ac but the fan did help.

Ask for a room away from the main road

Lovely staff. Water provided daily and free snacks available all day. Short walk to the ferry or the walking street

If you stay here ask for a room away from the road. The constant noise of traffic roaring up and down the hill all night made sleeping impossible.

Room was a nice size and the area was quiet. We were right next to the road but couldn’t hear it so was pretty soundproof. We got new bottles of water and loo roll every day. One day we asked to get our room cleaned so they changed the towels and bedding which was great as we extended our stay. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the main town but it wasn’t a problem for us we just rented a ped (note the property pathway is quite steep but so is the whole of Koh Tao).

The pillows were very uncomfy and the ‘duvet’ was more of a throw, it was definitely not big enough for the size of the bed.

Very good location, short walk to both Sairee Beach and Mae Haad Pier. The staff were lovely, especially Toei who was super kind and helpful. Comfy bed, amazing views and a nice balcony. The aircon worked great, especially with the fan on as well. Really great value for money.

Located on top of a hill, so may be less accessible for some. Shower was not very strong and only cold but we did not mind this much

Relax place with a view.

The room was big, with a huge bed and two balconys,one with an amazing view on the sea and you also have one fridge. There is coffee , tea and little biscuits for free as well. The couple that take care of this place are really nice and friendly people, this is a quiet place, close to the city center but with a relax and NOT party vibe ... Honestly for sure will come back here if I come back on Koh Tao.

Maybe the possibility to refill water (even if we would have to pay) would be great because I always feel sad to consume so much plastic bottle of water! Except this the place is perfect.

cute accommodation and lovely staff

I wanted to stay for 4 nights, ended up staying a month. the staff is lovely and the resorts location is perfect. it's a 5 min walk to both beaches and a 10min walk to the pier and the sairee centre. the monsoongym is also very close so perfect if you wanna do muay thai. the rooms have moscito nets on the windows so you can open them during the night. they clean your room and you get free towels and hygiene products. would really recommend it to anyone.

the ac didn't work so it was hot. but the fan is pretty good though. the shower has no power so it's a bit annoying to wash your hair.

Wonderful spot with friendly staff and nice views

The staff were wonderful, so helpful and went out of their way to answer questions and help us. The mattress was firm, which my friend liked, and the balcony was very spacious with a lovely view. There is ac for a slightly extra charge, which is definitely worth it, and laundry facilities, a washing machine on the property, which the staff helped with, by taking our clothes out when they were finished. And the location was great, right in between Mae head and sairee beach.

The shower stayed cold the whole stay, which is not necessarily bad, but a matter of preference. Maybe good if you get a bad sunburn, but I prefer warm showers.

Great private room with a nice view!

It’s not far from the main pier and although a bit uphill you could still comfortably walk there. Was greeted kindly by the hosts and I even got to choose the room with the better view (sea view!!). Room was clean and had all necessities. My room had also a big balcony attached to it with a perfect sunset view. I liked it so much that I extended a night for an excellent price. The location is also great as it’s only a short walk to the beach and the town center. Would definitely come here again!

the maids came into our room unannounced and went through all our belongings and rearrange our packing. they took my money out of my case which was hidden and left it on the counter. nothing was taken but it was an invasion of privacy. we did not ask for our room to be cleaned. would not recommend staying here. it’s at the top of a big hill and a trek to find. it resembles a building site. the fan and electricity barely worked. felt very unsafe. bed was comfy enough. was overpriced for the services provided. you can definitely find nicer accommodation at a cheaper price in a better location in Koh Tao. such as simple life restort

Location, staff, cleanliness and value for money were all excellent

The fan was very good but A/C would have been better and the electric sockets were of an older design needing an adaptor for the adaptor, which the staff provided . The location was safe and secure but a working safe would be an advantage.
