Gorgeous apartment in garden setting.

We enjoyed the spacious, clean, quiet apartment that looked out onto a beautiful garden. We also loved the fresh eggs, jam, bread, butter and milk that were left for us.

The property was very clean and well equipped. The weather was very cold but we were very warm and cosy in the flat. What a bonus the sauna was! Good instructions on how to use it and the hosts even provided extra towels and robes. Very quiet area and straight out the back gate for a lovely, wooded walk with the dog. Hosts were very friendly and responded quickly to the one question we asked.

Lovely and heartwarming experience

A peaceful and comforting place to stay — perfect if you love nature. The surroundings are calm and relaxing, making it a wonderful escape from the noise of the city. One of my cats suddenly ran away during my stay, and the hosts were kind enough to help me find her — I’m truly grateful for their kindness. Overall, a lovely and heartwarming experience.

Perfect break

Perfect location and immaculate accommodation. Loved the thoughtful touches of lovely food stuff for a hearty breakfast. Really has everything you need for a peaceful luxury break. We didn't use the sauna, so unable to comment on that. The garden is secure, our dogs loved exploring and meeting the chickens

Faultless accommodation, spotlessly clean, every comfort thought of. Wish we could have stayed longer, sauna was great extra and hosts thoughtful and accommodating, quick to respond and clear instructions for checking in and out.

I was away with work but I felt like I’d been on holiday!

It was perfect! As a lone person this felt safe.

I love cats but may be warn people the will come in and see you. Some people don’t like cats or are allergic to them.

Relaxing oasis

The location was perfect for our shopping trip to Colchester. The garden was a peaceful, green oasis with sunny & shaded seating areas, raised vegetable/fruit beds, bird feeders & a chicken house. We sat out in the afternoon with a bottle of champagne & cake & had a snooze. It was lovely to watch the squirrels & their acrobatics & two friendly cats at play.

We loved our stay. It was a lovely touch to have eggs, butter, milk, bread & jam provided for breakfast.

Peaceful haven tucked away.

Quiet and peaceful. Nice walks. Comfy bed. Nice touches like milk, bread, butter and jam left out for us. The host was very helpful when we had an issue with the TV and resolved it quickly. We had a relaxing stay which was the object of our break. Our dog loved exploring the garden.

Absolutely loved everything about the property. Spacious & everything to hand. Quiet and peaceful for a decent night sleep. All of the little touches didn’t go unnoticed. (Bread, milk butter, jam, seasonings& eggs) Daniel even asked if we’d like to use the sauna… we did! Enjoyed every minute of our stay

Welcoming, peaceful and comfortable

It’s a self contained annex in a quiet neighbourhood, with a lovely view to the garden. There is direct access to a ancient pathway/historical site from the back of the garden, leading to a natural park/woodland. The accommodation was very tasteful and of a high standard. Both the bed and sofa bed were comfortable with lovely linen and good pillows. The kitchenette was homely and stocked with everything you might need. The owners kindly provided a welcome pack of bread, milk , butter, jams and freshly laid eggs (from their own chickens!). This was a nice touch and very welcomed. Also there was a big commitment to the environment with recycling systems in place and Faith in Nature products in the kitchenette and bathroom. Finally the accommodation was well situated within walking distance to a park and nice pub. It was a 20 min drive to the beach (Mersea Island) and 5 min taxi ride to the city centre (there are also direct buses) The hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

Exceptional

We arrived at our apartment with amazing weather, the back garden was delightful . We spent some time in the swing bench in the shade taking in the surroundings and listening to the hens clicking around us. Inside the apartment was was wonderfully clean , comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the fresh eggs,they made our breakfast!! The bed was super comfortable and we slept amazingly. Thankyou for our stay we would love to return here again

The kitchen is fully equipped. I was worried before coming here because I planned to cook for my family but I had everything I needed. Also it was quiet, safe and relaxing I was able to catch on sleep which I lacked as I only do night shifts. Everything is convenient and easy to use.

I would have liked a hoover or a vacuum to do some cleaning before leaving the place to keep it spotless.
