Ideal accommodation for exploring uphill Lincoln 🩷

A lovely, comfortable and cosy cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Hosts couldn’t have been better - and all the extra little touches were most appreciated.

Parking the car was a little difficult at times, but once we accepted we wouldn’t always be able to park outside the property we managed it just fine!

The property is brilliant, no problems whatsoever

Parking, damned nightmare, but a problem everywhere nowadays on terraced streets, you have to remember that these homes were built when horse and cart were the main method of transport, now it's not uncommon to have four cars per house, they gotta park somewhere.

The layout of the property was great. Brilliant double rooms & great modern decor. All the amenities you need including a dishwasher

The noise from next door was quite loud, the front bedroom was next to next door’s bathroom so you could hear water running people in there coughing etc.

Outstanding Cosy Cottage in Desirable Uphill Lincoln

Cosy, immaculately clean, very tastefully decorated, well equipped, home from home. The welcome pack was very informative, plenty of crockery and utensils, along with little, but important, additions such as plenty of toilet rolls, and a rubber mat for the shower tray!

There was nothing we didn't like other than things that were out of the hosts control, but worth noting; the stairs are quite shallow steps so care needs to be taken, especially if you have big feet; It was a little difficult to get a parking spot outside the cottage, having to drive round the block and go on the end of the road, but we were able to move closer later on in the day.

Lincoln at Christmas gave us so much to enjoy.

A warm and cosy feel to the property. Tastefully furnished. A few minutes walk to the old castle and cathedral and lots of independent shops. Great restaurants nearby.

Comfortable stay in a lovely central Lincoln location

We had a very comfortable stay to attend events in and around Lincoln. We were able to use the kitchen well. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. Parking was easy, even with 2 vehicles. The outside space was nice, even though we didn't have a chance to use it.

The stairs were a little narrow and only a light at the top, not the bottom or on the stairs themselves.

Everything was perfect, the cottage is really homely,clean and comfortable. The location is brilliant within easy walking distance to the castle. The pint of milk ,tea and coffee was really appreciated.

Perfect cottage, close to the old town and Cathedral, homely, & comfortable 10/10

Everything here was perfect. I could not fault a thing. The cottage is so clean and well maintained. Sofas are very comfortable, just the thing after a long day of sightseeing to sit down and relax with a cup of tea. The area is peaceful and quiet. Parking wasn’t a problem and less than 10minutes to walk to the Cathedral. We spent two nights here and would happily reccommend and return again, which we are actively planning to do. Host communication / information is excellent.

Lovely, clean cottage. Plenty of space yet lovely cosy feel too. Host was extremely helpful and great communication... Instructions clear and easy to follow. Beds super comfy and street is lovely and quiet. Perfect location for Cathedral quarter and great choice of restaurants, pubs. Fab Chinese on corner of street. Loved this place and parking on street was very easy. Choice of spaces.

Very well equipped cottage in a great location.

Hattie's cottage was very well equipped with everything you need including the kitchen equipment to enable you to cook properly. The location is well within walking distance of the main part of Lincoln in a quiet residential area. The cottage has obviously been refurbished recently and so everything in it is new and recently painted. We were two adults staying in the cottage and found it to be spacious enough. Checking in was easy and the owners communicated with us in a clear and timely way.

There didn't seem to be many food shops within 5/10 minutes walk so if you had to nip out for say a bottle of milk , I'm not sure where you would go.

Such a warm, welcoming little cottage that has everything you need! Location is good slight walk in to centre but not an issue for us! Plenty of food places, pubs and shops around within a 10 minute walk! We loved the kitchen and it’s even gave us an idea for our own kitchen so thanks! Lol

I would have not mind a bit stronger lights in the bedroom, the bulbs were not bright enough for me, but that's just my preference (especially as it was a business trip, I had to get ready each morning :D ) - however it was great to have mirrors in each room as well. Air freshner might be needed in the rooms too.

great Location. We managed to park outside the property...a real bonus. Decoration, interior design - fixtures and fittings great. Beds super comfi and shower great. I like the fact that there was loads of clothes hangers in the wardrobe. A lot of storage space. Will definitely stay again.

We needed to moved some kitchen pots and pans to make storage for our food/grocery items, so an empty cupboard would have been handy for us . A very well equipped kitchen ...but a cafetiere for our morning ground coffee would have been fab.!

Perfect cottage close to amenities of Lincoln

The terrace cottage is perfectly appointed and situation. It's so cosy with high quality equipment. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Parking is excellent too ...you can park really close. Lincoln cathedral is a short walk away.

Hattie's cottage is in a great location, it was very clean with high quality furnishings. The hosts were very helpful, with good communication & efficient key collection. Lincoln is a lovely city with a wide range of attractions.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hattie's cottage .

The location was excellent. Street parking was not a problem, we managed to get a space just outside the house . The house was clean and comfortable .The street was quiet and had no problems sleeping despite having the window open. Lincoln was really lovely and the people were very friendly. Particularly enjoyed the roof top tour of the Cathedral. Did not realise that there was a combined ticket for the Cathedral and the Castle which would have saved us money. The Wig and Mitre pub is well worth a visit , for quiet ambience ,a quality meal and good beer.

I wished there was a t.v. in the dining room/kitchen area . The settees being at 90o to the t.v. in the lounge , meant your head was twisted, however, I could not see how the room could be configured any differently. These are only small niggles and would not stop us booking the cottage again.

Exceptional accommodation in the heart of Lincoln, with comfort at the forefront.

Property was excellent - clearly newly renovated, with new appliances. Everything had a fresh clean feeling with a lovely grey, white, black colour scheme upkept throughout. Beds very comfy and the shower is wonderful. Well equipped kitchen with pretty much everything thought about and catered for. Excellent location for exploring Lincoln, with lots of dining options nearby and recommendations given by the hosts in the welcome book. Good communication from the host pre-arrival, while we were there and afterwards as well. Easy entry via a lock box with the code messaged to us on the day. 2 keys available which is great when our party needed to split forces. Would happily stay again when visiting Lincoln.

I don't normally go for properties without it's own dedicated parking space / drive; however I was happy to compromise here for the location, especially as I wasn't staying all week with a full car load of stuff. We didn't have problems parking on the street within a couple of doors of the property, but I can imagine this may be more challenging at peak times or during the steampunk festival for example.

The cottage was in a convenient location for easy access to the Cathedral ,Castle ,shops & restaurants at the top of Steep Hill.Parking was available outside on the street. The cottage was very well presented ,with a good information folder.... all seemed virtually brand new when we visited.

We hadn't come across the type of outside door lock before ..it took a minute or two to figure it out! The staircase was a little tricky for the over 70's!!

The location was perfect for ourselves. We had a car event up the road at the show-ground and it was only a 5 minutes drive. Also very close to town centre. Hattie’s cottage thought of everything, even takeaway leaflets for local takeaways. Great stay and comfort, would definitely stay again!
