Naunton Cottage

Wonderful location and quiet as road outside was closed. But would stay again as nice to be in heart of town.

Main wardrobe in bedroom is laundry store. Room needs a hanger as in second room. Knob on bathroom door needs replacing with one that fits. Knob falls off easily.

Comfortable, cosy cottage, in the heart of Lyme, very well equipped and warm. Minutes from the sea, Marine theatre, and museum, super bakery just a minute up the road, and fish and chips a little further up. Enjoyed coffee in the courtyard garden and walks along the Cobb, to Uplyme and towards Charmouth without needing a car. Walking distance too of Rockfish. Well placed for Abbotsbury, Seaton Tramway and Forde Abbey.

Nothing...we would return. We like being in the bustle of a town but of course at weekends that mwans some noise.

The location was perfect, free parking with a permit provided by the cottage was a great asset. However, the car park is around 1/2 mile up a very steep hill.

The cottage had a damp smell in the afternoon so we put the heating on. Couldn’t find a dust pan!

The book collection was interesting. Upstairs was fine - comfy and clean. Well eqhipped

Sitting room dark, and stuffed with dark, old furniture. Small garden neglected and scruffy. Only 2 garden chairs and the garden set was old and tatty. Roses and shrubs obscuring the sitting room widow. In the shadow of tall buildings either side, only a few feet away. Q 🆖 I The biggest bedroom had a heeuge wardrobe, without hanging space and appeared to be full of bedding. We ended up storing our clothes on the hanging rail in our daughter's room.
