We liked how close it was to the beach
Spacious rooms
Plenty of storage space and hooks
Lovely light fittings
The mattress and the bed frame on the third floor was very uncomfortable and needs replacing asap. makes loud noises at any slight movements. Loud and interrupted sleep for room below too.
Pub oppersite very noisy on occasion. Which I understand as it’s a pub but would be made better if all windows on road side were double glazed.
The cold water dispenser on the fridge needs to be added to the cleaning checks, as it clearly had not been emptied or cleaned out, was mouldy.
Low pressure leading to no water for 2 days due to a burst pipe while on holiday not really what anyone wants. While no one was at fault, was extremely disappointing. as we all missed out on showers. However was resolved quickly and an email was sent but I had to chase for information
Would have appreciated an email prior or message of apology and updates.
All things leading to a rather disappointing stay given the cost for the week. Not sure I would recommend or go back.

Property was very spacious, well equipped and clean and comfortable.
The outside area was positively dangerous, especially for children or the elderly. Uneven steps, ungated, slippery steps leading down to the bin area. It was also very overgrown.
Inside the house there are steep stairs and steps to different levels, painted black. Obviously the steps are needed because of the character of the property, but some need a white edge to make them more visible. I am 75 and fell down one step near the kitchen area, banging my head on the corner of the wall. Fortunately, other than a large lump, I was ok but it could have been much more serious. Also, perhaps a stair gate at the top of the stairs leading to the front door could be considered as the front door leads directly out on to the main road….not safe for younger children.

Lovely decor and location. Nice rooms with plenty of facilities like tv, dishwasher and garden.
Beds a little firm and pillows a little flat. WiFi weak and slow - didn't reach upstairs.

No parking though am aware Lyme Regis is very short of properties with parking.

Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Plenty of space for our group of 8.
Great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach and shops/restaurants. The parking permit was a useful bonus. Lovely, sunny garden with ample seating. A delightful stay.

The properly was excellent located If you don’t have small children! It’s opposite a pub which has deliveries at 6am on a Friday and is quite loud. The property was very quirky, it was very clean and kitchen really well equipped and the little goody bag was a great touch! I would stay again if I wasn’t going with kids. Also the front door goes straight onto the road which with small children isn’t ideal.
Everything creaks, the floorboards the furniture everything! There isn’t enough space in the lounge for the 8 guests it sleeps, very cosy, also the sofas are not comfy and the tv remote doesn’t work properly!

the centralness of the property was ideal
we were opposite a pub which had incredibly loud live music on the Friday evening, which made it impossible to talk with family in the lounge or sleep. It was also next door to a fish and chip shop, so the garden had a smell of cooking oil all the time.

The cottage is very quaint and quirky and
situated right in the heart of Lyme Regis. Easy walk to the Beach, Shops ,Cafes, Restaurants etc .
Everything you may need is literally on your doorstep. The cottage was very clean and well equipped and we really appreciated the little welcome hamper on arrival.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return 😀
There isnt any parking at the cottage but there is a parking permit for one car in a nearby carpark .
But beware the carpark is at the top of quiet a steep hill

The size & comfort of the cottage. The location. The decor.

It was very well equipped, the owner seems to have thought of everything apart from something to light the fire with and fire lighters to get it started!
The bed in the largest bedroom was quite hard and very noisy every time you moved in bed.
There is a pub directly opposite. On the Friday night there was outside noise/shouting from 7-8pm until 12ish which made it very difficult to settle the children.

The location is good for getting to places - right in the heart of Lyme Regis. Welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch which we weren’t expecting. Easy access with the key safe. Nice to have the parking space permit for free parking during our stay.
More effort could have been given to clean before we had arrived. The beds weren’t the comfiest and one in particular had an unstable and creaky frame. When it rained water leaked through the ceiling and dripped onto the floor - we had to put a bowl down. The front door was old and wooden - it had a crack going through so it didn’t feel very safe or secure. Opposite the pub, which was often quite noisy at night with the single glazed windows. The TV signal dropped out a few times for about 5 minutes at a time.

Excellent location in the centre of town, 5 minute walk to the beach and the shops. Lovely character cottage and courtyard garden. Clean and modern kitchen/bathroom facilities.
Wouldn’t particularly recommend for families with toddlers, there are lots of sets of stairs in the house and in the garden, with no stair gates available, so it was a little stressful keeping the two toddlers in our group away from them. Our stay was postponed from early last year (pre Covid) when they were small babies so it wasn’t something we considered when originally booking. Would be fine with older children!
