The building was lovely. It’s only a 10 minute bus ride or tram ride into town, and for the time spent commuting, you get more space, and therefore more value. We were happy to be 10 minutes away where it was more quiet and still very accessible. Luca was a great host and welcomed us in wholeheartedly. He was happy to chat and ensure our stay got off the right way. He accommodated requests and made himself available helpful.

Shower needs cleaning.

Location, space and check-in was easy and host was friendly..outdoor space is great.

The lack of bed linen and stained duvet. No top sheet or duvet cover. When requested a duvet cover was given another insert and told that's what you use. The noise from upstairs feels as though it's in the room when sleeping and very loud...it's due to very poor insulation in the walls and ceiling. Was woken up several times because of the noise.

We really liked the location. It takes only about 30 minutes on foot to reach Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, with a lovely walk across the Arno River along the way. We also really enjoyed the spacious private terrace of our apartment. It was such a pleasant place to sit in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee. 🙂 Another highlight was the beautiful garden surrounding the villa, which added a peaceful and charming atmosphere to the property.

Unfortunately, there were several serious issues with the apartment. 1. The biggest issue was the bedding and overall bed hygiene. There were no clean blankets or duvet covers provided at all. There was only one blanket in the apartment, and unfortunately it had what appeared to be blood stains on it. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable using it for obvious hygiene reasons. When I asked the host why there was no clean duvet cover, I was told that the weather was warm at that time of year and therefore blankets were supposedly not necessary. From my point of view, this is not a professional response and shows a lack of consideration for guests’ comfort and basic hygiene. Regardless of the season, an apartment or hotel should always provide clean bedding, including a clean blanket and duvet cover, in case guests feel cold. We stayed there from September 21st to September 24th, and the nights were actually quite cool. We ended up sleeping under just one thin sheet and were cold at night because the only available blanket was stained and we simply did not feel comfortable using it. The mattress was another problem. It was very old and covered with fabric pilling, which we could actually feel through the single thin sheet while lying in bed. It made sleeping quite uncomfortable. There was not even a spare clean sheet available that we could use as an additional layer over the mattress. So, regarding the bedding: there were no clean blankets, no duvet covers, no spare set of clean bed linen, and unfortunately something as fundamental as proper bed hygiene did not seem to have been given enough attention. 2. The second major issue was the electrical outlets. Some of the sockets were loose, and some did not work at all, including the socket on the right-hand side of the bed. There was also no power strip or multi-socket adapter available.
