Very clean , cosy,enjoyable stay

Loved the location. It was not far to walk to the quay and town centre. The excellent pub called Mill on the Ex was a couple of minutes walk away. It was so nice to have only a short walk back after our meal out, We enjoyed a drink on the outside balcony on comfortable garden furniture. The beds were very comfortable too

It was great to have parking but it was further away than would have liked and we had to make a couple of trips with our luggage. We would still book again though to stay at this property

Lovely getaway

Easy walk into town or Quay. Well decorated cottage with all mod cons. Ample crockery. Bedrooms very comfortable with plenty of storage space (unusual!). Lovely balcony with comfortable furniture, good sunspot in afternoon. Amazing TV, if only we could work it!! Would recommend parking in Mill on the Exe pub to unload as the cottages are obvious from there, drove past twice!

Parking wasn't great. Bit of a trek and not a confidence inspiring venue, looks like a builders yard. Cutlery and glasses need a top up. Could do with a small armchair in lounge, beanbag not comfy for adults.

Lovely Exeter holiday home

Lovely little house with plenty of space for our three guests. Compact downstairs but featuring everything you need, including comfy sofa and nice space outside to spend some time by the river. Excellent location near central Exeter (without feeling crowded) and next door to the Mill on the Exe, a pub I can't recommend highly enough!

Nothing to dislike really, a little tricky to find and a slight shame about lack of parking but the fix the owners have sorted with remote parking worked for us. Maybe another lounge chair in the living room would be useful... for just adults the bean bag doesn't really cut it.

Really minor - but the detergent the bedding is washed in irritated the back of my throat (rest of family where fine Tbf) Would be nice to have some cooking oil and washing up liquid. We had to buy some. Left it there #payitforward etc

Cottage on Ex

Very clean and modern

Stairs !!!! Didn't realize there were 2 sets of stairs to 2nd bedroom which were very steep Perhaps need a warning for elderly people!!!!

Fabulous riverside stay

Fabulous location by the river (best view from the top floor bedroom balcony) and great that it was next to the excellent Mill on thr Exe pub. Eniko was very friendly and responsive to all messages. She kindly came over straight away when I had a question regarding the boiler. The beds are super comfy. I hasn't realised that the cleaners had completely turned off the boiler but once this was switched on, there was plenty of hot water - lovely, powerful shower.

The parking was a few minutes walk away, on the other side of the river. Wasn't a problem for us but if you have heavy bags/ luggage, it would be best to quickly pull up close by and unload baggage with someone and then the driver go and park (the walk is much nicer going Iver the footbridge just past Mill on Exe pub and then past playing fields - only a minute or so longer than the main road way). only other tip is that it would be nice to have outside light by front door as it is very dark down that end of the path when returning after a night out.

Great Stay – Highly Recommend!

The location is excellent—just 10 minutes from Exeter town centre, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby. The area is quiet and easy to find, making it a perfect base for a relaxing stay. The house itself was spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable—easily among the top three of all the holiday homes I’ve stayed in. A wonderful experience overall!

The only minor drawbacks were that parking is a bit far from the house (an 8–10 minute walk), and the checkout time is 10 AM instead of the more standard 11 AM. However, these didn’t significantly impact an otherwise fantastic stay.

A lovely stay in a wonderful house with a great location.

Our stay here over the Christmas period was excellent. Communication from the host Ian was very detailed and helpful; the location was ideal, with a great view looking out over the river; the property itself was really clean, cosy and comfortable. All in all, I would highly recommend it.

The only minor drawback was the water temperature in the shower and bath was a bit temperamental: sometimes it took ages to get warm, other times it fluctuated between hot and cold.

Exeter holiday, home from home.

The location was excellent and met our needs perfectly. It was spacious and comfortable. Probably the best home from home with easy access to local transport and the city centre. We would recommend it highly. Parking was good. If you get the time, watch the diversity of wildlife from the windows overlooking the river. We don't normally but found it fascinating.

We would have preferred to have access to freeview or at least instructions on how to use the television.

Excellent accommodation and brilliant host!!

Cottage was modern, cosy and certainly catered for all our requirements. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Really well located for the city centre and river walks, and very close to a very nice waterside pub. The host was brilliant at communicating and they couldn’t be anymore helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The only downside is no parking but that is true of pretty much everywhere in Exeter. This, however, wasn’t even a probably as free parking has been negotiated by the host with a local business, so that wasn’t even a problem.

Would in a heart beat book again.

Temperatures very hot, so a fan or two to place about the place would have made nights more comfortable. Another mirror than in the bathroom. Very minor small comments.
