Absolutely lovely location and we enjoyed our stay even though the description was somewhat overstated.

The location was fantastic

Lack of power from shower that looked amazing We had to clean up a little as window cills had marks on them from condensation, and windows in very poor condition Also a lot of water marks on several walls, and ceiling, plus the carpet in one of the bedrooms was torn, and there was a mark around a lamp shade On this basis I would not call this property luxury!

Style over substance

Spacious, clean, good quality towels.

Our 2 night stay was not comfortable, bedrooms were unbearably hot at night and no fans provided. What we thought were fans were dehumidifiers which actually made things worse during 2 hot nights. 2 nights of little sleep does not equal luxury. Very cluttered, too much stuff/junk that was ornamental/impractical. Luxury is not just looking good on Instagram.

Beautiful spacious clean apartment right across from Exeter Cathedral

We loved our stay! Very spacious apartment right in the city center. Comfortable beds and pillows and plenty of towels. We appreciated the Nespresso machine with offered coffee. Spacious bathroom. Elevator access was nice. Cote brasserie was a restaurant right near next door, with great views of the cathedral and great food! Note, there is a lot of night life near which does bring some late night noise but this was no bother for us.

We would have appreciated shampoo/conditioner for shower. The living room chandelier needs to be fixed. The Internet WiFi connection was very shoddy.

Super location and comfortable, well-equipped rental apartment.

Wonderful views overlooking the High Street through large bright windows. Nicely equipped kitchen for meal preparation, and super location - entry is onto Exeter Cathedral Square, 1 min away. There is a lift (very slow, so be patient) to reach the apartment, so no hauling bags up flights of stairs! Groceries are available 5 minutes walk away at the Sainsbury's in Guildhall Shopping Centre for meal preparation.

Exeter city Centre is heavily pedestrianized and there is a great deal of ongoing construction and roadworks, and one-way streets in the area made it difficult for our driver to find an appropriate drop-off location. The entry address faces on to the Cathedral Square, and was hidden by construction scaffolding during our stay. I'd contact the host to determine the best location for drop/off pickup given the most current situation to avoid frustration.

Very good

Beautiful, Modern Apartment. Great customer service, it’s a lovely place for a fit couple!

The apartment is situated on the 6th floor. The lift is painfully slow and hot, it’s not the easiest check-in with luggage. I would recommend visiting for a weekend! For a longer stay, the property should look into getting a drying rack for the washing machine, iron and iron board, as well as a bigger kitchen bin. The kitchen appliances are top of the range meaning they are difficult to use at first. A few light bulbs need to be replaced.

Luxurious and fun but with some difficulties.

The apartment is gorgeous. Right in the heart of the city. The neighbours are friendly. High specifications and very comfy beds. It’s really beautiful with all amenities.

It is not wheelchair accessible despite being advertised as such. The front door isn’t wide enough for a wheelchair unless you can reach the high lock to open both sides. Which I can’t from my chair. There are two steps before you reach the lift. I can get out of my chair with difficulty but I wouldn’t have managed if I had been on my own or been unable to do steps. It was painful and slow and we went out a few times a day so had to do it repeatedly. The wet room is lovely but there is no chair and none in the property that could be used in water so impractical for people with disabilities. There are no hand rails either so shouldn’t be advertised as having facilities for disabled guests. The lift is small so wouldn’t fit an electric wheelchair and the many fire doors are hard to manage from a chair. The wi-fi code I was sent was wrong but there was a card luckily. The boiler is very noisy and can be heard all over the apartment. There was also a bad water smell in the bathroom which came and went. Also the fighting street people right by the door and a lot of broken glass and bottles being thrown was a bit unsettling although obviously nothing to do with the property management.

Very aesthetic and artistic apartment.

The apartment is incredibly aesthetic, and the facilities were fantastic. The front door opening out to a view of the cathedral was lovely first thing in the morning. Great pubs, bars and restaurants surrounding the area too.

The only let down was the WiFi, not the quickest in the world but still usable.

A massive let down

The apartment was in a good central location, and the apartment was beautiful.

The apartment hadn't been cleaned, and on arrival I found the following - - Someone's toiletries including their toothbrush in the bathroom - Someone's shoes on the floor - Someone's open packet of sweets next to the bed - A fridge/freezer full of someone's out of date food (which also gave the apartment a terrible smell) - Fruit/veg left out on the worktop with mould growing on them - A dishwasher full of dirty cutlery - Someone's contact lenses on the floor - The ironing board was left setup in the middle of the lounge On arrival, it looked like I had walked into someone else's occupied house. I tidied this apartment myself on arrival as it was late at night and I had nowhere else to stay. Given that I paid £1,454 to stay here, I was not happy. I have since made a formal complaint to Fresh Escapes with photographs, and I have not received any offer of a refund/partial refund, all I have been offered is 10% off my next stay....... This apartment is clearly very poorly managed by Fresh Escapes, and I hope the owner of this property reads this review and looks elsewhere for a property manager as this has completely ruining my experience of staying in this beautiful property.
