River Exe Hideaway - Balcony over the River

Very clean. Beds were comfortable.

The outside space was in effect a communal space with the neighbours. Although there was a partial separation it didn’t feel secluded or private. The lounge would have benefited from a side table or two - nowhere to put a cup of tea when sitting on the sofa. There was no anti-slip bath math nor any tea towels and no lighting on the stairs. (The only bulb was out).

Great location, good facilities, nicely furnished rooms.

There weren’t many glasses or cups - just about enough for 3 people. The outdoor areas are a bit sad.

The facilities were top notch providing us with everything we needed to unwind and relax for the weekend.

The property was very well decorated and was in a good area to get places and It was very clean. We really liked the property.

The fact that there is no onsite parking at the property is not ideal, they do provide you with one free parking spot in a car park but it is a walk away from the property its about 10 mins away but its along a main busy road so it’s not ideal if you are a women on your own, if you have children, or elderly ones with you as at certain times it would be unsafe to walk along there, carrying shopping and luggage back and forth was very annoying I must admit, if you are taking more than one car with you you have to pay for parking which wasn’t too badly priced, however this car park is not secure and is open to the public at all times, I think this needs to be clearly stated on the description of this property as if I had known this information I would not have booked this properly as I felt our cars were in an unsafe space. There are no bins in the bathrooms so not ideal if you are a woman. The kitchen needs more cutlery as there was only a few forks and one wine glass available.
