La Chaîne D'or

The location is wonderful, and we had a room overlooking the Seine which was great. The hotel also has a nice outdoor space which was welcome in the incredibly heat we experienced at the end of June.

The breakfast was OK, but some nice cheese would have been welcome. Our main issue, though, was that the hotel was totally unprepared to deal with the heat. While the temperatures were exceptional, and air conditioning is far from the norm in northern France, a fan would have been welcome - we did ask, but apparently they didn't have any available. The other two hotels we stayed in did provide fans. We would stay there again but it is quite expensive, even though it's a lovely building.

Egg machine was very slow to boil eggs.

The staff were delightful, the hotel is beautiful and stunning setting by the river.

The views are lovely and the location was super handy. The man as t reception was helpful.

The furnishing is a bit out dated (especially the bathroom) and room smelt a bit misty. The breakfast was not worth the money at all. The fruit were a bit dry, the bread seemed pre backed. Some of the staff were very impatient and a bit rude. Internet/ WiFi simply did not work.
