Mostly positive experience

Large room with small sitting room and garden view. The bathroom had a window. Free parking. The staff at the restaurant was friendly. Dogs were allowed at the restaurant.

Water leak in the garage. Although the waiting staff was very friendly, they were disorganised. They mixed up orders (also of other customers). We received one free dessert as a compensation for having to wait a long time for our desserts to arrive.

Rude staff at reception.

The hotel itself is lovely, easy parking, great location. The staff horrendous.

Stayed twice, encountered rude staff each time. The check in time on booking.com is incorrect, it's 4pm not 3pm and the staff offered no courteous apology for this, they actually clearly enjoyed their superiority in making us feel unwelcome. One girl was lovely, the plumper one was so rude. Then on check out the staff insisted we owed money for something (paid room tax on check in) challenged this so they changed their narrative. Felt strangely like a scam.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years the first time was when the hotel was having all the updates so not everything was anywhere finished but it was really great the staff rooms had everything we needed. This is a very good place for us to stay which is why we use it on our journey. This last time the stay was not up to the standard we have had in the past, although we thought it had started to drop off the previous times we stayed, the toilet was clean but discoloured. We had no robes or slippers I went too reception and spoke with the receptionist who was so good she arrived in minutes with robes but said no slippers. I went into the bathroom there was no shower cap etc that was normal with our previous stays. Also no water as previously supplied. So very disappointed but at that stage as we had had some very upsetting news from family, I couldn’t take the time to to say about it. That was my fault so can’t blame any staff about that. That is why it has taken me so long to reply.

Unfortunately, they make a lot of mistakes in your reservation (wrong room). They seem disorganized with a willingness to do their best but make lots of mistakes: not telling you at what time you can use the spa and trying to help you book a treatment.

Disappointed as spa and restaurant closed not what we wanted after a long journey

spa closed for building work smell of cement in Roman and some workmen boot prints on carpet in hallway to room.

Very nice hotel

Our room was really nice, spacious, quiet and confortable. The hotel is in the middle of a cute village with a beautiful castle. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. They forgot to let us know room service wasn’t available during our stay but when we arrived the receptionist gave us a list of restaurant we could go to which we really appreciated. Thanks to that we had the best meal in “le soleil” restaurant which was 3min walk away from the hotel.

Breakfast was too expensive, I wasn’t feeling well and my husband brought two croissant, a yoghurt and tea in our room and they charged 15£ ,for each of us, for that which was quite disappointing.

Very quiet, no atmosphere. Rooms lovely but no fridge (it was 35 degrees) and no milk for the tea and coffee. Not sure if the restaurant was open so ate out, pool and spa no one around. “Hot breakfast” was cold

hotel not honest

the hotel has been recently renovated or is brand new. comfortable rooms.

We specifically chose this hotel for a comfortable stop over with spa. before arriving I mailed whether I could use the EV charger. the hotel answered it was not possible to reserve the charger. had the said it was out of use as was the case I would have cancelled my stay. now upon arrival I had to find a charger in the village. park there with full load in car. re park to hotel late at night. so no time to relax unwind…. restaurant and bar also not open. referred to restaurants in village which are Chinese take away and kebab. also a dog fee was charged but no water bowl or treats provided. wish hotel would be more honest, it’s not 4 star now.

the rooms were lovely modern spacious and clean with much needed air con. very close to the chateau. robes and slippers a nice touch

most of the staff were lovely just one very french lady that just didn’t go that extra mile that makes your stay. check in at 4 v strict which is fine I asked for a towel for my 2 children so they could use the pool that was a definite no not until 4pm. such a shame this new hotel is lacking the four star touch with outside areas left tables uncleared and new furniture left for you to organise yourself. the hotel prices are hotel prices and some which again leaves you feeling a little cheated with a small beer costing 8-10 euros and a large beer 15 euros. lower prices would mean more people using your bar and restaurant 2 courses 50euros. wine 50 euros per bottle standard. something just isn’t right sadly

Top location, rooms and parking space, but very disappointing catering!

Nice pool and very convenient parking. The rooms are spacious with top airco and bathroom. The free WiFi has good quality. The location is wonderfull next to a very nice and calm castle!

The breakfast was totally insufficient. On multiple days there was no fresh bread. Moreover, the dining room staff was not very friendly. The dining restaurant also had a bad price/quality and was totally not cosy. In the rooms, a fridge was really missing. Overall this hotel did not meet my four-star expectations.

the room was nice and comfortable

the staff at the reception I didn’t find very welcoming. as well when we had a drink in the terrace, we had to wait quit long before we got any attention. at checkout, the bill wasn’t right, they put breakfast on the bill and a more expensive bottle of wine.
