Villa Aliénor opens onto the Seine at historic Les Andelys. It’s a busy place with attentive hosts. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. We had secure storage of our bikes.

The location.
A lack of generosity on the part of the owner. Certainly not prepared to put herself out.
Small portions and high prices.
A commercial attitude as opposed to a demonstrated pleasure in hosting. Why work in the hospitality business?
