Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come. The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rental units to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are literally steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes, because Buxton’s unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties to the east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). The interior of this lovely home has been fully renovated and has all new furnishings, flooring, bedding, paint, and appliances, with comfortable and fun beach décor. You'll have access to an outside shower and a patio, and you can check out the Cape Hatteras lighthouse during your stay. An escape to the cape never looked so good as at Cottages at the Cape.
THINGS TO KNOW
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Great place to stay, comfortable and close to

House was as described except roomier than expected. The extra closets and pantries were very helpful for storing our stuff. The beach access was excellent but be sure to verify whether the .3 miles south are still closed, or if they opened back up. Front yard was ok for the pup but avoid the backyard due to cacti and other prickly plants.

Enjoyed the stay. Very clean. Loved having a washer and dryer. Enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. Thanks for supplying a few dishwashing and cleaning supplies!

Pros: This townhouse is in a great location. You can see pocket views of both the ocean and the Hatteras Lighthouse from the unit. It's 5-10 minutes from many shops and restaurants.
Checkin/out was easy, managed through text and digital lock.
Cons: The townhouse is beat up. Lots of scrapes and dents in the walls. Paint chipping off. Broken cabinet doors. Outlet hanging out of the wall.
Be warn: The surrounding grass is absoultely full of sandburs. The unit is dog friendly but the grass/playground is not.
