A flow of positive energy comes from this Hatteras Island beach cottage. Just a few houses down from the oceanfront in the heart of Buxton, this home is close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
A paved driveway and a covered parking area lead into a fenced backyard, perfect for playtime with the kids and your dog. An outdoor shower underneath the home comes in handy after a long day of sand and sun.
Two sets of stairs, one to the north and one to the south, lead up to the living quarters. Upon entry on the north side, you're greeted by the natural light of the sunroom. The stairs to the south lead to a furnished deck overlooking the backyard with two sets of sliding glass doors that provide access to the bedrooms.
The cozy kitchen and family room are nestled beside each other, making it easy for everyone to relax and share memories while cooking and dining. There's a flatscreen TV (Netflix- and Hulu-ready), a DVD player, a DVD library, a stereo, and free WiFi for your entertainment. A washer/dryer is in the hallway closet as well.
With beach access, activities, and shopping at your fingertips, this cottage is the perfect fit for your Hatteras Island vacation.

The house itself was pretty good. The location in Buxton was great and it was right next to the beach. The main downsides were that the appliances were quite dated and there was a slight smell in the porch/living room. The biggest problem we ran into was that the electronic door lock would only unlock if you pulled on the door. Not a big deal if you know about it, but it wasn't communicated so we were locked out of the house for some time before we figured it out. I called vacasa support and they sent out a technician but it took them 2 hours to arrive.
