Dare County homes: Occupancy limited to (6 = to 2 people per bedroom) as per Dare County septic regulations.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

My family had a wonderful time at Pelican. It was our first time staying in Buxton as well and the extra drive time was well worth it! Everything was beautiful inside and out, decor and amenities! The welcome package from vacasa was very handy and appreciated. The beds were all different comfort levels and fit each of us perfectly, we slept very well! We had fun on the beach every single day, it was a fabulous location! Only thing we suggest is to replace the light by the outdoor shower as we believe was burnt out and made showering in the evening pretty difficult. Also need to beware the sandburs in the grass are painful you must have shoes on at all times and definitely have to remove before going upstairs so they don’t get stuck in the carpet. Might help if the grass was kept short there would at least be less of them. Overall it was 10/10 thank you!!

The home was beautiful and the check in and check out process was super simple.
But the post was very misleading. The beach access as described in the post has been closed since September 2023 and the pool access is about a 15min drive away from home. The listing makes you think the pool is nearby with easy access, that is not the case. And for the beach closure due to hazardous petroleum on beach and erosion directly behind the home as well as closure of the parking lot mentioned in listing. This is EXTREMELY misleading. Only walking access from the property is located through a small path with a trampled fence with tripping hazards and no near by parking. For a family with a few members with mobility issues this would have been great information to have since this limited our beach time tremendously.

The house itself is a beautiful house but the couple things that got me were the listing says the whole house and shows a picture of this beautiful house it's actually one house split into two that isn't the biggest thing the post says steps from the beach this is a lie the Beach itself that is closest the house is closed due to oil spill and they are still cleaning it up I called vaccassa and VRBO and they told me if they said the beach was closed nobody would rent it so they knew the beach was closed so if you rent this house just check a few things before you do overall the house itself and the views are beautiful
