Great romantic weekend

Awesome staff, delicious, fresh meals, breakfast is good, renovated wellness area with many beds to relax, beautiful view, not far (15 min with a car) from the Neuschwanstein castle.

There is only one pool, only for swimming, a little bit cold, not for chillin. A jacuzzi or a pool with massage function would be a great treat. The floor in the panorama sauna is extrem hot, the 2-3 steps between the wooden floor and the door are almost unbearable.

Dissapointing experience despite nice facilities, elitist feel

Staff attitude was generally polite, the spa area is with free access and impressive (though be careful — the main sauna floor gets extremely hot and can burn your feet), and the restaurant food was good.

I left this hotel disappointed — all special requests I made and hoped for remained unfulfilled. I specifically booked a room with mountain view, but the only way to see the mountain and lake was to step outside and lean sideways from the balcony. This is really misleading and should be made clear during the booking process. I also reserved a table with a view, in the hotel’s restaurant, for a romantic Birthday dinner; while the table was nicely decorated, there was again no valley or mountain view. Even at breakfast we were not allowed to change tables due to a weird and rigid fixed-allocation system, which felt unnecessarily elitist - although there were more than 70% of the tables unoccupied at that time. Bathrobes for the complimentary wellness area were in the room - however, no slippers or mini toiletries were provided in the room, which felt below expectations for this level (a 4 star hotel).

Relaxing hotel in a great location.

Lovely views. Warm and cosy feel. Traditional style. Easy parking. Excellent dining. Super breakfast. Friendly staff and a warm welcome on arrival. We didn’t try the spa so cannot comment. Unfortunately, we only visited for one night..we will return and definitely for a longer stay.

The worst living environment but with the most beautiful views

So many insects in our room. I haven’t slept until 5 am. They are surrounding with me all the time.

A good overnight stop. You can swim in the lake if you’d like.

Out of town, over looking a lake. Only two eateries outside the hotel that we had to explore as the Hotel’s restaurant was closed for two days. One a little efficious the other only keen only to take cash, although they did take the card in the end. 5km from Fussen which we didn’t explore. Good breakfast. A nice stay in a rural setting.

No restaurant when we were there but we did know about this when we booked. Rural = quiet

The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and this makes things complicated because you need to take the car to the closest town for a meal.

First stay good, 2nd canceled do to hotel canceling food and wellness services after cancellation

I chose this hotel for wellness, dinner, and a room. They informed me during my first of two stays that they won’t do massages on my next arrival. This after the cancellation deadline. Then, two days prior to my arrival, they close the restaurant, also after the cancellation window closed. So, I canceled and went to another property. Unbelievably rude to lure in customers and cancel services witjout recourse. Will never stay there again, even though my first visit was very good.

What a wonderful hotel. We booked last minute and we're totally wowed when we arrived. We booked the holiday room, and was given R304 which turned out to be an entire little apartment with the most amazing views over the lake and mountains. Made use of the pool and sauna facilities. It was a shame we couldn't have spent longer here!

This was a last minute reservation on a drive through EU. Hotel was well signed and easy to find, space in the covered carpark for a 4x4 with roof bars and small box. Check-in ends at 22:00 but staff waited until 22:40 to check me in. Good breakfast, though didn't start serving until 0800.

If you're after 24 hour reception and an early breakfast, then this isn't for you, but otherwise a pleasant hotel in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately I wasn't there long enough to try the spa area.
