The location of Hotel Alatsee is absolutely stunning. Being right by the lake creates a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere, especially in autumn. The room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail that made our stay feel truly special. Breakfast was excellent - fresh, delicious, and enjoyed with beautiful views, which made every morning start perfectly.

The only small downside was the Wi-Fi connection in our room, which was quite weak and didn’t work reliably during our stay.

Excellent Location

The location was very beautiful, and the breakfast was also quite good. We would like to come again in the summer.There are many hiking trails around the hotel, and they are so beautiful.

There was no kettle in our room; it would have been nice if they had provided one so we could make our own tea on these cold days.

Peace guaranteed.

After a busy time in Munich this hotel was the perfect spot to unwind. Nestled near a lovely walking/bike trail along a lake. Peaceful, crisp air, great service, great food. The incredible views cannot be put into words. You can hear a small stream nearby with many walking paths to enjoy the scenery.

location is incredible, the lake is stunning and i could sit there for days. The breakfast was lovely and the secure parking was very welcomed.

The beds were uncomfortable and the room was extremely hot, the other guests were noisy but i cannot really blame the hotel/host for this.

The E 3.90 charge for tap water was ridiculous!

The location was nice on a lovely lake with hiking trails. The breakfasts were buffet style, and the food was good.

Because there were no bathrooms in the rooms, you had to unlock your door in the middle of the night to go down the hall to a bathroom. The door handles were clunky and loud when you opened them as were the bathrooms' handles. Nice rustic look, but VERY noisy and you woke up every time someone left their room. The end of our hall barely had any light (you couldn't even see where the key fit into the lock), so more light would have been welcome. The worst thing was having ordered a glass of tap water with dinner and being charged E 3.90 for "still water." That was truly outrageous, especially when they offered free bottles of water in the room. Had we known, we would have brought a bottle of water down with us.

A good stay in a magical location

We appreciated various aspects of our staying. First of all, staff has been gentle and helpful, very professional: we were clearly explained everything that we had to know during the check-in. Second of all, we were astonished by the location, both outdoor (really close to a beautiful small lake) and indoor (with unique wooden rooms). Finally, the breakfast served was abundant, various as well as delicious. Both savoury and sweet eaters’ needs are fulfilled!

My partner and I found pillows to be uncomfortable, as they were close to disappear when resting our heads on them. Moreover, although we could understand for space sake not to be able to offer an in-room bathroom, only one bathroom is probably too little for the number of rooms. Finally, although a parking spot was promised, we had a motorbike and still had to make do for parking it; nevertheless, we did find a spot and we were help by the gentlest staff.

Quiet and characterful hotel in a stunning location

Simple but charming hotel in a beautiful location, which is particularly special in the evening and early morning. The hotel is simple but full of character, with excellent food and a terrace from which you can enjoy lake and mountain views. Easy access to Füssen by bike, car or walking.

almost historical feeling atmosphere in the middle of magical nature with a crystal clear lake

A very cosy place in the middle of beautiful nature. It felt like we went through a portal to slower and more historical age. Very cool place with calm atmosphere! Many hiking trails around, crystal clear lake literally in the yard. Perfect breakfast, eggs (boiled and pan cooked) cereal, many options for cheese, breads, veggies, fruits, juices, teas - and many more tiny details. The sharable bathroom and toilet is not a problem, for every corridor there’s 2 of each. You also have a sink in your room, so it’s convenient.

Wifi in Room 10 is almost non existent, you need to place the router closer to the end of that corridor

This was a perfect location. Out in the forest but short access to the city. Beautiful location! Very friendly staff. Comfortable accommodations.

Parking was limited due to hotel having a really good restaurant as well. Floors were extremely creaky/noisy as well but nothing can be done about this due to being an older house.

Great stay!

Fantastic location, close to Fussen and the castle's, situated on a small beautiful lake in the forest. Extremely picturesque. Swiss cows in the distance with the quiet chimes of their bells as they grazed. Loved it!

Unspoilt old building in fantastic location

This place has a lot of character and is located in a very scenic location beside a lake. It was built in 1935 and has not been spoilt by later improvements

A quiet place to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

If you are Americans expecting luxurious accommodations, then stay awayl But if you are adventuresome, and don’t mind the rather austere bedrooms, then the quiet and beauty will win you over. And the dinner was mighty tasty! Breakfast was as expected, lots of good food!

Breakfast was good/ample. Selection of eggs, waffles, meat, cheeses, breads, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee, juice. The lake was beautiful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Mattress comfortable. Rooms clean. Great views. Feel connected to nature.

The floors and bed frame squeaked/creaked, doors opening and closing are very loud, pillows very flat, no area other than outdoor area for relaxing outside of the room (there is just one small wooden chair provided in the room) and no common area for guests… Some small improvements on guest amenities could improve guest experience.

Staff were kind and View was perfect.

Although the staff were kind, the room facilities were zero, the room didn't even have a fridge or kettle. The towels were not clean. The room did not smell fresh, the floor und my room made noise while walking and if one person was walking on the way, wir can’t slept and can’t rested in the room. There was no view from the room as the window was very small

Secluded hideaway right by the lake

The location right by the Alat lake was amazing. Really secluded and very quiet at night. Breakfast was good, they even had fresh waffles. Friendly staff and easy self check in, as we arrived late on a monday when the reception closes early.

The only thing really is the creaky floors. You can always hear when someone is walking around above you or on the corridor. But as its an old house its totally normal and once you're asleep you dont really hear it anymore.

An idillic location with a lovely lake for swimming within a few feet. Great location for hiking and biking and close proximity for Neuschwanstein Schloss.

The lake became very busy during the day and early evening but it was exceptionally hot weather and it turned out it was a German holiday week.

the location may be as nice as anywhere I have stayed, nestled next to an alpine lake in the foothills of the Bavarian alps. staff was very friendly and the breakfast spread we had was great. everything was exceptionally clean.
