Superb

Very nice location, close to downtown. Free parking lot, although outside (and in winter it gets very cold). Very quiet room, with large and comfortable beds, with a beautiful terrace looking on the hills. Bathroom even too spacious. Staff very nice and friendly.

The room cost is maybe slightly too high, especially when we visited, which was out-of-season. We booked a dinner which was a buffet: a rather unordered business, with fairly careless guys handling the food (whereas all the waiters were perfectly OK) and food quality and choice not really up to the cost. As in most german hotels, the bathroom has no real doors (glass sliding), so that you have very little privacy. Some rooms are very far away from the reception and the restaurant, so that you need to take two lifts and walk a bit (just a marginal comment, though).

The worst hotel experience I had in my life

I have traveled in 50 countries on 5 continents, but the experience in Ritter Hotel was the worst in my life. I have booked a double bed and the hotel had just twin beds. Because I asked for a double bed, they started to become extremely aggressive. The asked me "Have you ever been in a hotel before?" Finally, because I didn't wanted to totally destroy the Valentine's weekend I accepted to take the room that they have. The manager told me "If you don't like the room that we have you should go". So I had to beg for half an hour the manager, Mrs. Ganter to they give me a room, while the room was already paid.

Very nice stay

-the location -the room( we had a renovated standard room) -the food at the restaurant for dinner -great food choice at breakfast -very nice and clean pool and sauna

-a kettle or coffee machine are definitely needed in the room -the system to close the door is just too loud. You have to really slam the door to close and that can be disturbing -we were not asked when we checked in to show the vaccination certificate or a test and this was not ok. As per german regulations they should have. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable as we were not sure if the otjer guests were asked or not.

Excellent Sauna and Spa.

Spa. It is absolutely good. It is good as is but if they operate indoor sauna and outdoor sauna at the same time throughout the operation hours, it would be better. I love the infra-red cabin and whirlpool.

Their numbering system. It is not easy to locate the room as the numbering system is somewhat strange. But it is OK, once you are familiar with the location of the elevator.

The break fast was ordinary and was repeated daily. Would prefer a change in breakfast. Also the bathroom exhaust was not really effective, the bathroom remained damp,hot and smelly for a long time.

The bed and the cupboard in our room was new.

The hotel is quite old, it needs renovation. Some corridors need better cleansing. The hotel is quite big and on arrival you have to find your room, nobody will show you around. In the evening you'll get the suggestions menu from their à la carte restaurant. They don't even care enough to print a menu without prices for hotel guests.

På genomresa är Badenweiler och Ritter ett perfekt stopp! Fint SPA, trygg miljö och frukost!

Jättefint rum i en trevlig by där man gärna promenerar runt. Säker och bra parkering. Vänlig och proffsig personal, välkomnande! Mycket bra frukost. Kommer tillbaka!

Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, grosse Auswahl! Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer grosszügig und freundlich eingerichtet. Wellnessbereich ebenfalls sehr schön. Super Lage, kurzer Weg in s Dorf, in die Therme und div. Restaurant's.

Wir haben uns wohlfefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Hervorheben möchte ich in erster Linie das Essen. Das Abendessen war ausgezeichnet und das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenso gut und umfangreich. Das Personal hilfsbereit und bemüht Wünsche zu erfüllen. Zimmer gross und gemütlich. Das Haus verwinkelt, in die Jahre gekommen, gut renoviert, Einrichtung ist eine gelungene Kombination von alt und neu. Der Spabereich ist überschaubar und lässt einige Wünsche offen. Zum Entspannen zu wenig Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten, wir mussten zum Ausruhen aufs Zimmer gehen. Wenig Ablageflächen für Brillen z.B., Liegen sehr eng gestellt und keine Ablagefläche für Teebecher,….Mich haben auch die Plastikbecher, die sehr heiss wurden, gestört. Wasserspender mit unmöglichen Papiertüten die einem aus der Hand rutschen….

Schweizer Gäste werden bevorzugt. Jeden Tag einen anderen Tisch zugeteilt bekommen. Ohne Zuteilung geht nichts.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, super freundliches Personal, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen.

Halbpension: Frühstück und Abendessen (5 Gang Menü) waren ausgezeichnet. Nichts zu bemängeln. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wellness: Bereich ist sehr ansprechend.

Einziger Mangel: der Boden im Wellness-Bereich ist ziemlich rutschig (ist von Vorteil wenn man gute Badeschuhe mitnimmt, die vom Hotel gekauften rutschen noch mehr).

Une chambre standard très confortable. Un superbe petit déjeuner très varié et un excellent diner 5 plats.

Zimmer frisch renoviert und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück wie auch das Nachtessen (hatten Halbpension) war sehr gut. Auf die Glutenunverträglichkeit wurde sehr Rücksicht genommen.

Der Wellnessbereich ist eher eng, insbesondere der Ruheraum ist viel zu eng (zu viele Liegestühle) und mit über 30 Grad war es uns zu warm.
