Die Krone

This was our favorite BnB and favorite town in all of our travels throughout Bavaria.

I didn't like the difficult communication that led to misunderstandings about parking. The property is in a pedestrian zone, and so I was unclear on how to approach the property by car. We had our troubles, but the owner came to our rescue, and everything worked out wonderfully. We should also thank his mom.

Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und sehr gut. Die Möglichkeit, mit einer Parkbescheinigung des Hotels auf allen öffentlichen Parkplätze gratis parkieren zu können, ist aussergewöhnlich und hat mich sehr gefreut.

Honest accommodation in a prime position. Our room at the rear of the building was spacious and the bed comfortable. The en-suite was looking a bit tired, but it was clean and everything worked. Breakfast was a simple breads, pastries, cereals, fruits, meats and cheeses affair and absolutely fine. It's difficult to give a fuller appraisal as we arrived on a Sunday afternoon when there are no staff on duty and the restaurant is closed (which we knew when booking).

Communication by email was erratic, and non-existent until a friend in Germany chased them up by phone for me. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon when no staff are on duty and we had a nervous few minutes when it transpired that they had changed the code they told us they would use for the secure key box and we initially couldn't retrieve our keys. There are a couple of parking spaces to the rear of the building but access is very tight.

Die Betten waren miserabel!!! Die Matrazen durchgelegen. Ich hatte am nächsten Tsg Rückenschmerzen!!!!!
