Very poor would not recommend no communication from the host about our grievances
The family liked the fact the heating was on .
I am sorry to say we didn't stay at this property my family decided it wasn't up to their usual standard . Upon arrival they found the toilet light not working and that the floors and carpets hadn't been hovered or swept. They were supposed to stay over Christmas and yet there wasn't anything Christmas about it .the property they found very bare no homely touches very basic . They said it was very overpriced and had stayed in much nicer places for far cheaper.

Overall, as a group of friends we enjoyed our stay but spent minimal time in the house.
Location excellent for sightseeing. Close to retail park and amenities. Easy access to town. Link detached house at the top of a no exit road which gave privacy. Two toilets. Quiet back garden with decking, backs on to a crop field and gets the sun Separate dining room. Clean towels and bedding.
Cleanliness. Minimum mismatch cutlery/glasses (two wine glasses, no teaspoons). Frayed carpet edges between doorways which are a trip hazard. Light bulbs out in several light fittings. Toilet seats loose. First floor smoke alarm cover missing. Bathroom floor dirty, bath-shower door mouldy. Dirty between the sofa seat cushions. Overall the inside of the house looks in need of an update.

Would visit this house again
This house was exactly as described - very comfortable, peaceful and quiet. The roads are good to both Durham and A1(M). There are supermarkets and shops within walking distance. We asked if there was an iron and iron board, and the host arranged for one to be put into the property.
