This house was exactly as described - very comfortable, peaceful and quiet. The roads are good to both Durham and A1(M). There are supermarkets and shops within walking distance. We asked if there was an iron and iron board, and the host arranged for one to be put into the property.

Location excellent for sightseeing. Close to retail park and amenities. Easy access to town. Link detached house at the top of a no exit road which gave privacy. Two toilets. Quiet back garden with decking, backs on to a crop field and gets the sun Separate dining room. Clean towels and bedding.
Cleanliness. Minimum mismatch cutlery/glasses (two wine glasses, no teaspoons). Frayed carpet edges between doorways which are a trip hazard. Light bulbs out in several light fittings. Toilet seats loose. First floor smoke alarm cover missing. Bathroom floor dirty, bath-shower door mouldy. Dirty between the sofa seat cushions.
Overall the inside of the house looks in need of an update.
