Large countryside home

It's a home away from home, everything that might be needed has been carefully thought of and implemented. Perfectly situated for many local points of interest, Beamish is a MUST (tickets are valid for a year.) There's lots of leaflets to help you decide where to go and a fabulous folder of information. A hamper of food essentials was provided non grata which was a lovely welcoming surprise, games, dvd's etc for times when you just need to chill after a busy day sight seeing. Everything was great, spacious, comfy beds and all the facilities you'd have at home. A lot of thought and effort has been put into making the house a perfect base whether for leisure or business.

I honestly can't think of one thing that I didn't like.

Spacious homely lived in house. Comfortable bed and furniture. Parking front or back. Shops and pubs nearby. Also park with a rock seat with great views just mins walk away.

Everything. Kitchen was extremely well equipped, plenty of space, breakfast hamper & food essentials supplied, parking outside. Lovely & spacious, good shower.

Lovely large family owned house and very helpful owner. Everything was clean and there were extras we might need. Was great value and also dog-friendly. We really liked all the little extras like bread/cereal/jam. We were very grateful for the extra bed supplied too. The kids loved the house and the toys and especially the chocolate cereals. We'll be back soon!

There is only one bathroom and we had 5 kids with us. It was our only negative as the rest of the house is large and very family friendly. We needed a cooking pot with a lid..

A plentiful welcome basket on arrival which was a really lovely touch. Butter and milk in fridge, plenty of coffee and tea, cereals! Wow! Everything was thought of. 3 bedrooms to choose from, a large dining table and plenty of seating. Kitchen was well equipped. Front room was spacious with table football and darts. Great communication with host.

Good space, comfy furniture and very nice landlady.

Only thing was better lights by the big bed, nothing else.

Erica and Jason were simply wonderful to deal with. Prior to our visit they gave us plenty of information on the property and the local area. Any questions we had were promptly answered. We arrived to a huge Welcome basket choc a block with grocery items. Totally unexpected and it made us feel very special. Erica and Jason obviously have a great deal of pride in what they have to offer and it shows. The house is impeccably clean and has everything needed for a seven day stay. Three spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and heaps of towels. Situated on a busy through road we did not notice any street noise and had great sleeps. Very professionally run and perfect for longer stays. Tow Law is perhaps a little isolated for some but access to Bishop Auckland, Durham and points north is easy and the local scenery is gob smacking. Thank you Erica and Jason for a wonderful stay.

5 Stars – Another Amazing Weekend! This was our second stay at this beautiful, spacious country house in Tow Low, and it was just as magical as the first. I visited with my partner and son, and we were once again blown away by the thoughtful touches and warm hospitality from our wonderful host. The house is incredibly well-equipped with loads of games and activities to keep everyone entertained, and the garden is perfect for relaxing or playing outdoors. Every detail has been considered to make guests feel welcome and at home. We had an amazing weekend and can't wait to return again!

Fantastic stay fridge, freezer, and cupboards stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast hamper on arrival with croissants, crumpets, pancakes, jam bread, plus milk eggs left in fridge, all cleaning products provided and plenty of toilet roll. Host very communicative and helpful.

Lots of wallpaper peeling off bathroom wall, mold above shower and an obvious damp problem behind Internal door, light bulbs missing in lights in front and back bedrooms, window blinds broken in front double room however we didn't let this affect our time there, just needs a little TLC but overall a nice comfortable stay.

Lovely family house.Great spot for exploring . Hall Hill Farm is well worth a visit as is the Beamish Live Museum. Would definitely recommend this house

Location was great for us as attending a dog show nearby, the weather was bad and we were getting to the house late, so the host very kindly nipped round to put the lights and heating on, so we were not arriving in the dark to a cold house, very thoughtful of them, plus lots of nice touches like welcome gifts of mince pies and fresh bread, milk, croissants. Parking outside was very easy, dog towels for any wet dogs coming in the door.

Owner was very helpful. We appreciated the amount of things left ie tea and coffee. Comfortable furniture.

The stairs are steep so would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.

Everything, great place, clean, lots of extra bits for folks staying, breakfast and milk in fridge on arrival, host so friendly and helpful, would stay again in a heartbeat

We all absolutely loved everything the property has to offer! The host really thought about everything, every detail was perfect. The shower was just amazing and the beds were very comfortable. We was staying for my younger brothers passing out parade in catterick and he loved the location so much he decided to propose to his partner in the beautiful surrounding areas! We all celebrated with a local take away from the fish and chips down the road and a bottle of wine from the shop next to it. We was all so blown away with how close everything was! My mother loved the place so much she has booked to stay again in November!

Large spacious clean and comfortable. Had everything you need. Dogs welcome and Kids loved all the games and toys. Garden space was perfect. Lovely big bedrooms with very comfy beds.

Lovely 3 bed terraced house. Despite being on the main road, the traffic was barely noticeable. The house has everything including vegan butter and bread, a few tins to make simple tomato pasta plus a few other foods. Great spacious house in a top rural location. We will be back!
