On arrival greeted by Stephen in driveway and parking area surrounded by flowers; flowers and more flowers; shown to our room with delightful view towards Loch Broom; lots and lots of books(thousands) all neatly sorted by category substituted for wallpaper throughout the bed and breakfast. Room was very nice with comfy beds and fresh flowers; fancy teas and coffee to make. We had asked for a quiet room and got one (our view out the one window was down onto gardens and then beyond a graveyard and valley views) - quiet quiet quiet. Received a super suggestion for where to have evening meal in Ullapool - The Seafood Shack - battered fish looked great but the Spicy Seafood soup was amazing. Prior to that, also at Stephen's suggestion, toured the Leckmelm Garden (a wonderful arboretum on Loch Broom between Clachan Garden B&B and Ullapool). Magnificent trees from Hungarian Oak Himalayan Cedar and West Himalayan Birch Great selection for breakfast including about 10 types of very eclectic granolas. Had a made to order bowl of oatmeal made the traditional way with water. It was perfect. Coffee is made from scratch in the "sunroom/glasshouse" breakfast area. Both hosts very friendly and helpful. Beautiful fresh flowers everywhere.

From the moment we arrived we loved our 1 night stay here. Stephen and Heather were so welcoming. Our room was thoughtfully furnished, everything was clean and the bathroom was excellent. We had pre-booked an evening meal which was quiche and salad. This was all homemade and so delicious. One of the best meals we had during our trip, and we had some very delicious meals. Stephen then offered Gellato (homemade) for dessert, Liquorice and Chocolate, again very very good. Breakfast again was delicious, we declined a cooked breakfast instead we had homemade bread, toasted with a very large selection of preserves, and yogurt and fresh fruit. Great views from our bedroom and the dining room.
