Lovely room, facilities great. Fantastic welcome from Andrew, informative and helpful.
Heating was lower than would have liked, as wasn't in my full control.

Literally around the corner from the Ferry Port. Beautifully clean, warm and comfortable. The owner is friendly and welcoming. We are staying again on our way back from Isle of Lewis. Would recommend staying here.
It can feel a bit disorientating finding your room, but the owner does give clear instructions befordhand and he actually opened the front door and took us up to our room when I couldn't find my email with instructions. He was very understanding.

Nice guest house, spacious rooms with great lake view. Great amenities in room, the bedding smelled so fresh and lovely!
Not much eating options around, a little walk from the town centre.

Room was very small & toilet lid was loose

This is a lovely guest house in a good location for walking into the village for dinner etc.
The room and bathroom was spotless and well decorated.
Comfy beds and a great selection for coffee/tea making in the room.
Great to have onsite parking.
Communication from the hosts was timely and very helpful.
The only thing we didn’t like was having to get out of bed and leave! And it might have been nice if there was a bit of self service breakfast to go with the great selection of coffees and teas e.g. shortbread or breakfast biscuits so we could have stayed in the lovely room for breakfast!
However the hosts did make suggestions for where to go for breakfast in their guest handbook.

There are great tea and coffee making
Our garden view room was actually just a view of the car park. In need of renovating. No guesthouse facilities of a lounge or to eat own food from. Nowhere for us to enjoy Longview’s from. No plug near a mirror to dry hair. Only mirror in bedroom on back of door in dark. Really noisy with other guest movements above and next door from toilet flushing, shower, walking, tv, talking, bed creaking!

Very comfortable setup with quiet rooms and Andrew was very jelpful and reaponsive. Great stop as you continue your nc500 journey

Good location, not far from basic amenities of the high street. Very comfortable bed and ample packing space. There is a feeling station not far from the hotel
Room 1 has no view of the sea - as advertised.
The bathroom drainage was blocked.

This was a lovely place to spend the night. We were still at the end of Storm Amy, so the winds were howling. The rooms were great and the beds were wonderful. Views would have been better if not for the wind and occasional rain, but still great. Highly recommend.
There wasn't any food close by, so we had to go into town. Also, most places don't start serving dinner until 6:00 PM, so if you are hungry early, pizza is your main option (I hated to go to Scotland just to eat pizza, but there we were).

Great location. Within short walking distance of the town centre and for a walk up Ullapool Hill (I walked up from the South side and down on the town side). Very friendly host.
Floors of top floor are wooden and therefor very noisy. That wasn't much fun when other guests arrived late and left early. Also you could hear other guests using the bathroom in the night.

Friendly host, showed us to our room and made sure we had any questions answered.
Good location for a stop off on the NC500.
Comfy bed, lots of space, would recommend.

We arrived in the dark as our ferry from Stornoway was late departing. Andrew met us and helped with our bags up to the first floor. He showed us the facilities of the room. The room was small but adequate for our one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we had a lovely hot shower. Unfortunately, there was no loch view from our room.

Lovely room with a beautiful view over the loch (clue is in the name!) 😁 and only a short walk into the centre of Ullapool. The owner was super friendly and helpful.

The owner was very welcoming and we had a great night stay at the property. All amenities for a one night stay were present.
The location was great as it was slightly out of Ullapool but within walking distance.
The curtain in the room was light and you could see through it. This made us a little concerned about being seen but the window faced an area with trees though there was a drive or walkway in the same area.

Lovely friendly welcome, comfortable bed, well presented and furnished room, good en suite facilities.
Unfortunately, the shower didn't maintain a steady temperature for me, although was OK for hubby!

Very little.
I expected breakfast for £138. I expected more than a net curtain to screen me from the car park and route to entrance door. Felt insecure.

We needed overnight accommodation before catching the ferry to the Hebrides from Ullapool. This accommodation was very suitable for that. It is a little out of the main part of Ullapool but we drove to the Golf Course for an evening meal where we had a very acceptable experience. It would be less suitable if you were on foot or without transport. However it probably meant it was quieter. Breaksfast is not available here but could easily be found in one of the outlets in Ullappool or on the ferry itself if that is where you are going. Parking was available.

Handiness for ferry.
Facilities need upgrading. Rather old fashioned. Toilet seat old and cracked.

Location
It was the most expensive accommodation that we had booked whilst doing the NC500 route and for the money it was dated…chips and cracks in the bathroom basin with a shower that was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Along with the fact it was a very small room and would not recommend.
5.0 / 10.0
-Private safe parking right in front of the property
-Very friendly hosts
-While being a little outside of town and therefore quiet, the "center" remains easily reachable within 5 min on foot
-Much noise coming from people walking on the upper floor early in the morning
-Bed rather small and too soft / uncomfortable
-No breakfast, so adding an extra 40 pounds for breakfast in Ullapool in the morning makes it a quite expensive stay overall

Location was good and property was very clean.
Mattress needs replacing and rooms could do with modernising - very dated!

A fantastic location and comfortable beds. The owners seemed very pleasant for the short interaction. They took the property over fairly recently and are doing it up bit by bit. The renovated room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom. The other room definitely is up for refreshing.
Note there's no breakfast at the property and you need to find some in the village. Plenty of places in the village during the season though.
The bathroom in the room that was not yet updated is not made for tall or large folk.

I stayed here for a rowing event. The room was really easy to locate and was situated just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour, there was parking on site, the owner was really friendly and helpful, and bed was comfortable, i had a great night's sleep.
There was nothing at all to complain about.

Lochview was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were particularly friendly and helpful during our short stay. Would happily book again.
There was nothing that we did not like.
6.0 / 10.0
location was within walking distance of town and eateries.
coffee machine in room
Nice decor
it wasn't clear when booking there was no breakfast service. a breakfast basket if fruit and may be muffins would have been a useful addition. the price without breakfast included made this more expensive than the other hotels on our NC500 tour.
the room was very noisy from walking about noises to what sounded like a boiler.
I appreciate the owners are new and busy working but certainly a breakfast option as listed above would help.
