Location. The room was comfortable and clean with quality bedding.
The house rules on booking.com say nothing about not being permitted to bring food back to the guesthouse, even to eat in the communal reception seating area. This is only disclosed at online check-in, a few days before you arrive, leaving you no realistic option to book elsewhere. As a solo traveller, I have no wish to sit in a restaurant in the evenings and I’m sure the restaurateurs don’t want to allocate a table to a single diner when it’s busy. If you’re happy to eat out every day, it’s a good place to stay.
