Good location, we had a quiet room which was spacious. Friendly staff.

It would have been welcoming if the reception area was continually staffed. But it was a busy night there and it didn’t spoil our stay.

Great location

No entry until 3pm. Gave us the wrong room - gave our (more expensive) room to our fellow travellers putting us in a VERY awkward and embarrassing position - no offer of recompense. No lunch facilities- is this a hotel? The food was average at best and the waiting staff, when advised about poor food quality were just rude.

Perfectly situated in the town. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and professional. The bar area was comfy and clean and again bar staff were lovely. Bedroom was lovely, bed very comfortable and room spotless.

Everything you need in one beautiful place.

Beautiful, historic hotel, well maintained. Restaurant on site was delicious and convenient. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices, a good chance to try new foods. The view of the harbor from the restaurant is spectacular!

A nice base to explore a beautiful part of Scotland!

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Our room had a lovely view over Loch Broom. Staff in the restaurant were all very pleasant and helpful. We had a very spacious bedroom, which had all the essentials, and we had access to the roof terrace. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good, and we got a substantial breakfast each morning.

For the cost of the room, we felt the room had nothing outstanding and was noisy from other guests. There was a lot of noise from other doors banging shut, chatting in the corridor and noise from the neighbouring rooms. We were awoken at around 5am on the Sunday morning by another resident's phone ringing (or possibly an alarm) followed by doors banging and then a car engine revving and leaving. I feel it was just a bit too expensive for what we got.

Overrated.

The location was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable.

No one was at the reception to welcome us, and this happened several times throughout the day. One of the wall-mounted bedside lamps wasn’t working, and the toilet seat lid was loose — all of this is unworthy of the standard the establishment claims to uphold. Very disappointed.

The location of the hotel was great .

The breakfast wasn't the best , sloppy scrambled eggs and everything else was greasy. Cold coffee too. We were stuck at the back of the hotel so the view was not good unfortunately.

The location, the view, the staff, the breakfast, the dinner, and pretty much everything that you could like about a hotel, were all great! We enjoyed walking through the town and met really lovely people on & off property. Great overall experience!

Problem with shower but this was looked at promptly , the room was stripped back no tissues or toiletries only small soap half bottle of shower gel fixed on wall. Tea tray was adequate. Loo roll cheap

Hotel stop on NC500 in May25

The staff were helpful and friendly. My wife requires a gluten free diet and the staff at dinner and breakfast were really good and understanding. The room was large, very clean and with a view over the loch, well positioned.

The perfect luxury stop on the NC500.

My wife and I were driving the NC500 staying in a variety of accommodation in various locations en route. This was the most luxurious. Very large luxurious room with a a balcony and view of the loch. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was superb. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Good spot for a night in Ullapool

Lovely pleasant welcome on arrival, immaculately clean room - freshly decorated and recently refurbished bathroom. Great breakfast service with decent selection - great pancakes and bottomless coffee

Unfortunately the bathroom only had a shower and after a week in the camper van in the rain in the western isles a bath would have been ideal. The room was relatively expensive for the night and we’d anticipated perhaps something a bit more luxurious. On saying that - it was large, airy, well appointed, freshly decorated and had a balcony with a view of the bay

A good hotel in which we would stay again

Location was great, being very near the centre of Ullapool but quite tranquil with a good view of the loch and hills from the front. The breakfast was good. Large car park. The bed was comfortable. The hotel looked to have been recently refurbished in most areas including our room.

The room was much smaller than expected. Not much room for accessing our case and the bed was vey close to the wall making entry to that side a bit difficult. The bar area, while large, was in need of freshening up and modernising.

Lovely breakfast

The full Scottish breakfast was fabulous. The beds were comfortable. Ullapool is a lovely place. The views from the front of the hotel are amazing!

Our room overlooked the car park on ground floor. There were blinds to stop people looking in. The room was basic and looked a bit tired.
