Not much, only the location

The condition of the property is terrible and dirty in the communal areas. To get to the room you have to go up dirty carpeted stairs through a very cold corridor. The room was a front facing room which was cold despite there being a heater as the windows are terrible and chipped. The walls are paper thin so we could hear the couple next door attempting in the middle of the night to get into their room which was literally outside our door and took at least 20 mins, we could also hear their full conversation. The shower has no door or curtain and absolutely no power. It took such a long time to have a shower. The mattress on the bed was so thin you could feel the springs. We got absolutely no sleep at all. The bar area is not very welcoming. The food choices were slim. We ordered fish and chips but it was terrible. Chips where the potatoes had not been peeled and were hard, fish full of batter and very little fish inside.

Lovely cosy hotel, great location and really good value

Perfect location on the waterfront. Lovely continental breakfast was free. Room very clean, cosy and comfortable with a lovely view. Dinner in restaurant good (we had veggie option). Staff friendly and helpful. On street parking at location. Everything within easy walking distance. Photo is at dusk from our bedroom window.

Wonderful view, great location and very dog friendly place

Wonderful location. We enjoyed a light breakfast but unfortunately the dining area is small, be aware it’s a very dog friendly place. We had breakfast with 6 dogs - barking and growling at each other.

Was expensive for literally a budget hotel.

The staff were fantastic.

A little run down and in need of a good clean. Shower in room even though it was recently refitted needed a good clean with bleach as was showing signs of mould. No one made bed or emptied bins every day. A the bed hadn’t been cleaned under in a long time. Menu was very limited

Beds were comfortable, room was clean and a good size, food in the bar was good, excellent location, friendly staff, overall a very pleasant place to stay.

No view from room was looking into another part of the building, also I was woken on the morning by some maintenance work been carried out, parking not ideal we struggled to get anywhere near the accommodation so be prepared to walk a little with all your belongings, finally on checking into the hotel was a bit awkward very small entrance and no clear instructions on how to check in.

It was handy to the shops if you wanted any shopping and there a laundry opposite Tesco’s.

Great location, lovely staff however it’s a tired hotel and very overpriced

The location is excellent and I had paid extra to get a loch view which was worth the difference. The staff were all lovely. I cannot comment on the food as we just had tea and toast in the morning.

The toilet did not flush properly at all and at times we had to use to he toilet downstairs in the bar. The property is tired and the windows are needing renewed. There was no wardrobe in the room just some hooks and no coat hangers. There was no mirror in the bedroom for drying / styling hair. There were 2 mirrors in the bathroom but of little use as obviously no sockets.

We found the room to be a little noisy due to a fan being on all night which I assume was from the kitchen. It didn’t stop me sleeping but it’s something to be aware of.

The locks on the rooms were more than temperamental and my husband got told to ‘chill’ it would work in the end. His window wouldn’t close and he had to stuff towels in it. The entrance door banged shut every time it was opened and closed. No live tv

Nicely situated on the harbour front at Ullapool. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was ok with reasonable choice of breakfast items. Very dog friendly.

There are a number of minor issues that a good joiner could easily fix eg bedroom window wouldn’t shut, toilet seat wonky , bedroom doors need softer closing mechanism so they don’t bang shut. The main issue is there is no WIFi whatsoever. I stayed 2 nights and there was no wifi at any point . The hotel need to either sort this out or delete WiFi from their list of facilities. If you don’t mind having no WiFi then it won’t be a problem !

Disappointing experience which could have been much better if made to work as it appeared!

Right on the waterfront with good views over the loch and harbour. Quiet at night (as high up and at back of the Inn)

What looked like a good shower was very variable in temperature from cold to scalding hot so I was unable to shower. The sink was so small and the shelf above made it impossible to wet shave. Also I could get no hot water!

Very clean and fresh.

Uncomfortable pillows. Eventually threw them on the floor and used the decorative pillows instead, which were better but not ideal. Was woken in the wee sma hours by pounding on the door and the demand that we OPEN UP! Quite alarming! I did open it and received an instant apology, but it was difficult to get to sleep afterwards which was a problem as I had a very long drive ahead that morning.

Fine for $50 a night, but way overpriced at $200.

The location was great and the rooms were fairly clean.

The beds were so old they sagged completely to the frame, the pillows were aggressively tall and hard, the walls were thin and the neighbors noisy, and the breakfast was very light. For $200 USD a night, I expected more.
