The central location along the waters edge was great, the staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was clean.
You can hear every word of your neighbours conversation and TV, feels like they’re in your room, very loud. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. As there weren’t many guests in the inn (we travelled in Feb — the off season), our continental breakfast was delivered in paper bags to our door which consisted of some bread, spreads, and a muesli bar — very minimal and not particularly appetising. We would have preferred some cereal or somewhere to toast the bread perhaps. The heat of the shower comes on and off, it went cold, but if you wait it will get hot again. Also the kettle doesn’t turn off, once boiled it will continue to boil.

Not much, only the location
The condition of the property is terrible and dirty in the communal areas. To get to the room you have to go up dirty carpeted stairs through a very cold corridor. The room was a front facing room which was cold despite there being a heater as the windows are terrible and chipped. The walls are paper thin so we could hear the couple next door attempting in the middle of the night to get into their room which was literally outside our door and took at least 20 mins, we could also hear their full conversation. The shower has no door or curtain and absolutely no power. It took such a long time to have a shower. The mattress on the bed was so thin you could feel the springs. We got absolutely no sleep at all. The bar area is not very welcoming. The food choices were slim. We ordered fish and chips but it was terrible. Chips where the potatoes had not been peeled and were hard, fish full of batter and very little fish inside.

Perfect location on the waterfront. Lovely continental breakfast was free. Room very clean, cosy and comfortable with a lovely view. Dinner in restaurant good (we had veggie option). Staff friendly and helpful. On street parking at location. Everything within easy walking distance. Photo is at dusk from our bedroom window.
Nothing - the arrangements suited us very well and we will happily go back to stay again

Wonderful location.
We enjoyed a light breakfast but unfortunately the dining area is small, be aware it’s a very dog friendly place.
We had breakfast with 6 dogs - barking and growling at each other.
No dogs at breakfast 😀

The staff were fantastic.
A little run down and in need of a good clean. Shower in room even though it was recently refitted needed a good clean with bleach as was showing signs of mould. No one made bed or emptied bins every day. A the bed hadn’t been cleaned under in a long time. Menu was very limited

Beds were comfortable, room was clean and a good size, food in the bar was good, excellent location, friendly staff, overall a very pleasant place to stay.
No view from room was looking into another part of the building, also I was woken on the morning by some maintenance work been carried out, parking not ideal we struggled to get anywhere near the accommodation so be prepared to walk a little with all your belongings, finally on checking into the hotel was a bit awkward very small entrance and no clear instructions on how to check in.

It was handy to the shops if you wanted any shopping and there a laundry opposite Tesco’s.
Everything was fine with my room as it was well away from the bar, it could have been terrible from my experience a couple of times being near a bar.

The location is excellent and I had paid extra to get a loch view which was worth the difference. The staff were all lovely. I cannot comment on the food as we just had tea and toast in the morning.
The toilet did not flush properly at all and at times we had to use to he toilet downstairs in the bar. The property is tired and the windows are needing renewed. There was no wardrobe in the room just some hooks and no coat hangers. There was no mirror in the bedroom for drying / styling hair. There were 2 mirrors in the bathroom but of little use as obviously no sockets.

The staff really make the place - exceptional service much appreciated. We also had a lovely meal in the bar.
We found the room to be a little noisy due to a fan being on all night which I assume was from the kitchen. It didn’t stop me sleeping but it’s something to be aware of.

Lovely location, the room was fine once we worked out the rear entrance got us out of all the stairs.
The door locks - what a challenge! These need some attention. Parking is a challenge.

Location good we didn’t stay for breakfast
The locks on the rooms were more than temperamental and my husband got told to ‘chill’ it would work in the end. His window wouldn’t close and he had to stuff towels in it. The entrance door banged shut every time it was opened and closed. No live tv
