Good value for money.

Warm and cosy cottage in the centre of Holt. Spacious with comfy beds and an enormous bath.

If you want to drink real coffee you'll need to take your own cafetière because there isn't one in the kitchen.

Disappointing

Nice cottage in a great location in lovely Holt. Spacious with nice courtyard garden. Attractive decor.

Summer duvet (4.5 tog) on main bed on a freezing February weekend. Just not acceptable. We asked the owner if we could have a thicker one and were told (without an apology) that as there were only two of us, that we should use the single duvets from the twin beds as well. The shower is unusable and (as reported many times) is dangerous, cycling between freezing cold and scalding hot. The property should not be let again until this is fixed. There is a note advising not to use other appliances whilst using the shower. This makes absolutely no difference. It is broken. Maybe a personal thing, but there is nothing to make coffee in - not even a cafetiere, which is unusual these days. There are two "log burners". One is an electric fire and one is decorative. Something to be aware of if you're expecting a cosy evening in by the fire.

The cottage was in prime location right in the centre of Holt with a public carport just over the road for parking.

There were written instructions regarding the shower explaining not to use other taps etc whilst showering. We followed these, however the shower was still unusable due to the sudden temperature changes. One second freezing cold, next it’s scolding hot. We ended up using the bath instead for safety. I communicated with the cottage prior to our arrival asking about towels as these were not mentioned on the listing. I was assured that towels would be provided as the cottage’s new owners now provided this service. Unfortunately these were not provided as promised. Luckily I did pack one just in case!!

What can I say, such a great place to stay

The location was great - right in the centre of Holt. The courtyard garden was perfect for an evening drink and our dogs were safe and secure. The position of the cottage made it private, not overlooked.

It's not a negative point but, for safety reasons the stairs need to have some kind of carpet/covering so no-one slips. We were fine, it's just an observation!

It was lovely, very relaxing, a beautiful house, massive bathroom!! Gorgeous town!

Location was great, right in the centre of the beautiful town - very picturesque town, lots of independent shops there, dog friendly pubs and the public parking (Albert St) was only £8.50 for 24 hours! I used the public car park as suggested by the host as parking at the actual cottage is very tricky and whilst we were there there were also builders working on one house with their vans and then Gas works was done on another day, so our car would have been stuck. You don't need a car for the town as it is small, but Holt is local to the national park, Holkam Beach, Blakeney Point and I am sure many other places, so we used the car to go out and about during the day.

This is nothing to do with the property, but just as an FYI if you have a pooch, there are very few 'green' spaces in Holt (that we could find) and our pooch refuses to wee or poo on concrete! That is a good thing, but a bit difficult when we were playing spot the grass / wooded area. We did get directed to 'Little Hill,' which was a lovely little wooded area for her to do her business and poo bins there too.

The location is amazing. Very cozy, warm with a well equipped kitchen. Comfortable sofas and beds. The whole experience was excellent.

No issues about the property. We took advantage of the weekly parking ticket and there were always plenty of spaces even over Xmas.

I cannot recommend this cottage enough to a family holiday let! great central location, car park 50 metres away to leave your car. beautiful courtyard garden, and the the cottage that is deceivingly large from how it looks from the outside. very quiet location set in a square of 19th century cottages. however walk out of the square of cottages and you are immediately in the small streets of holt with cafes, antique shops and other shops.

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. Perfect place in which to celebrate with our son and partner.

Parking is limited but there is a pay and display very close by. However bear in mind it's £8.50 a day.
