Burehüsli Axalp

We had a wonderful stay at this chalet in Axalp. The drive from the main road to the chalet takes around 20 minutes. The road is quite narrow, but generally there were no issues as everyone seems familiar with the road conditions and drivers are considerate and tolerant. The owner was extremely helpful and always recommended great places for us to visit, which made our trip even better. The chalet itself has an amazing view, and we truly enjoyed our time there. The kids loved it very much as well. It’s also a great place for a BBQ. All BBQ equipment is provided, which was very convenient. I would recommend buying your BBQ food and other supplies in town before heading up to the chalet, as going up and down the mountain can easily take around 40 minutes for a round trip. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stay with family.

Lovely cabin with the most beautiful views of Lake Brienz. My family had a wonderful stay at this cabin, it was cozy and had all the amenities you would need. We loved making a fire in the indoor wood burning stove and looking out at the amazing views. The cows going by in the morning with their bells made it feel like idyllic Switzerland. Great location for exploring some of the most beautiful areas of Switzerland. The host was very helpful and informative, he recommended to us some great things to do in the area.

The view from the house is amazing!

I have to drive almost 12 km uphill to reach the house. In some places, if another car comes from the opposite direction, we have to reverse just to let them pass.
