Francy - Partial lake view

The accomodation was spacious with all needed amenities. A shared terrace having plenty of space for sitting and view of lake and mountains was spectacular. Owner is responsive and allowed us late checkout.

Not easy to find the taxi and walking up the ramp requires a bit effort

The location was excellent. There was plenty of room. having a washer in the apartment was great, we were there for 6 nights. It was within ten minutes walk of the lake. It is close to the ferry and the train, both the regular train and the steam train. Brienz is just so beautul. Close to Aare gorge and the outdoor museum and it is easy to catch the ferry to Interlaken. i would stay here rather than Interlaken.

Nothing really. I developed some foot , plantar fasciitis. , it became painful to walk, so we had to drive when we would have usually walked - finding parking can be difficult and you have to pay in Brienz. It is uphill walking back from the lake. I only say this for those who struggle with walking so that they can be aware and plan.

The outdoor chairs were dirty and the terrace was in need of a makeover. The beds were not set up for our party of five and the bunk beds are really in a hallway. Approaching the property you were greeted by trash receptacles and uneven sidewalks. There is no taxi service in town as indicated on the listing. The taxi comes from the next town over which increases the prices. Also there was no tourist card at the property as listed which would have been a substantial savings for our group as we went to several during our 3 day stay in Brienz. The bathroom was too small and the whole property was not worth the price we paid. I checked with a local and she agreed we were over charged for our accommodation.
