Amazing stay! The property has stunning views of the Eiger and is in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. It's a beautiful walk to downtown and a 15 minute walk to the train station and Coop Store. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped and furnished. Everything you want and need. The host is helpful and responsive. This was one of the best places we've stayed in 15 years of VRBO. We will make this property our first priority if we return to Grindelwald.

We had a wonderful stay at Chalet Friedli in Grindelwald. The location was quiet, with a lovely apartment, large wrap-around balcony and access to a yard with table and chairs plus lounge chairs, but the most impressive feature were the killer mountain views, including of the famous Eiger Northface! The Pfingstegg gondola was only steps away, and the main village street with shops and restaurants was within short walking distance. The Grindelwald First gondola is a short walk away in town and the gondolas to Jungfraujoch and Maennlichen summits are reachable within a short drive. Hiking and activities, including for families, are galore in Grindelwald. And Interlaken and the two lakes, Thunder See and Brienzer See, are about 30 minutes by car. We will cherish the memories we made for a lifetime! Highly recommend staying at Chalet Friedli!

As a family of 3, we've had a great stay at this chalet. The chalet is near the main street of Grindelwald, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything you need for a great holiday, is present. The garden is spacious and has a fantastic mountain view. The chalet is in reality just a nice as on the photo's. A few cable cars are at walking distance of the chalet. We stayed in Grindelwald for a week, but the Jungfrau region has more than enough activities and sites to see to keep you busy for longer then a week. We had a great time and are left with great memories and more muscle pain then we hoped for!

The best place to stay in Grindelwald. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to the Grindelwald train station from the house. The House is off the main street so it is very quiet. It has 3 beds and has everything that you will need for your stay. If you are staying in Grindelwald this is the place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the chalet. Extremely comfortable & had everything we needed including a firm mattress!! Really convenient location, close to the centre to walk there within 10 minutes but far enough away for it to be quiet. The views of the Eger were outstanding as promised. Was lovely to be able to make contact with the owner before our arrival, that was really helpful. Will definitely be very high on our list of places to return to.

This is a lovely place with a great view and a perfect location, close enough to the center of town to walk easily, but far enough away for privacy. Communication with owner was excellent, the chalet was very clean with many thoughtful amenities. Close to hiking trails. I would absolutely stay there again, it's highly recommended.

This chalet is spacious and very cozy. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable, the water pressure in the shower is great, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the living room, where we could open up the map and discuss possible hikes for the week. And the location is awesome - very close to Pfingstegg lift and a short walk to the First lift.

The views from the garden and terrace are truely incredible. Could have spent the whole week watching climbers summiting the Eiger at dawn and the paragliders sweep over the majestic Grindlewald glacier. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. It is only a few 100 metres from the centre of Grindlewald yet still felt tucked away from the hubbub of the town. Excellent walks for all abilities using the free local bus or the quite costly Grindlewald bus (recommend getting the 3 day pass).

Apartment was great for us - short walk up the hill to the town for the telecabines and the night festivals, which were very enjoyable (especially the weekly Wednesday night one). Lovely view of the glacier and the mountains from the balcony and the garden. Apartment is quite small but perfectly formed and very well equipped, bathroom is especially nice and recently redone. Parking is easy, we didn't try the garage. Apartment was great value for money.

We’ve stayed in this region 3 times now and, out of all of the places that we’ve rented, this is our favourite. Well-equipped, stunning view, really close to everything that you’d want to see, and - above all - excellent communication and help from the owner. Would love to return.

Chalet Friedli is very cosy, has everything you need for a very pleasant staying. Very good and fully equipped kitchen, good bed rooms and the bath room, the terrace with the tremendous view on the Eiger, good hiking trails you can start from the chalet. We had a very good vacation.

Traditionelles Chalet mit hervorragendem Blick auf den unteren Grindelwaldgletscher (beim Frühstück aus dem Küchenfenster) und die Eigerostwand. Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr zentral zum Ortskern. Wir nutzten das Auto nur an einem Tag für eine Fahrt nach Lauterbrunnen mit dem sehenswerten, total ebenen Trogtal. Wir verbrachten im Chalet Friedli erlebnisreiche Ferientage. Wermutstropfen: stark befahrene, laute Straße mit Steigung am Haus, flackernde Deckenleuchte im Kinderzimmer sowie abgenutzte Badewanneneinlage und ungepflegtes Toilettenbecken.

Wij (2 ouders en 3 kinderen) hebben ons prima vermaakt. Mooie wandelingen gemaakt, en na de wandeling is het balkon en de tuin fantastisch om uit te rusten met het uitzicht op de bergen en de gletsjer. De kinderen konden ook lekker spelen in de tuin. Het chalet zelf is ook prima, en de eigenaren zijn super aardig.

In der Ferienwohnung im Chalet Friedli ist alles vorhanden, was man sich für einen gelungenen Skiurlaub wünscht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und dank dem Ausziehsofa im Wohnzimmer findet auch eine fünfköpfige Familie genügend Platz vor. Sehr praktisch ist die Zentrumsnähe (Gehdistanz) mit den vielen Geschäften und der Talstation der Firstbahn.

Die Angaben wie auch die Bilder entsprachen 1:1 der Realität. Niedrige Ausstattung, altes Chalet, jedoch komplett neue und moderne Küche inkl. der Elektrogeräte. Das Bad ist alt, die restlichen Räume und Möbel alt, aber ok. Unangenehmer Geruch der Heizung (vermutlich Öl ?). Super Blick vom Ess- und Wohnzimmerbereich auf den Eiger. Toller Garten für Kinder jeglichen Alters zum Spielen oder für alle zum Entspannen. Mit zwei schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten, schöner umlaufender Balkon. Sogar Garage vorhanden. Sehr angenehme Betreuung von der Eigentümerin, sehr nette und liebe Person, Empfang war herzlich und sehr positiv. Auch während des Aufenthalts Nachfrage nach dem Wohlbefinden durch die Eigentümerin. Das Chalet würde ich alle weiterempfehlen, die keine Ansprüche an die Ausstattung haben. Wobei selbstverständlich Radio, CD Player, DVD Player, TV und Telefon vorhanden waren. Das Chalet war gepflegt. Super Lage für alle, die nicht direkt im Zentrum ansässig sein wollen. Ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg bis zur Hauptstrasse und ca. 8 Minuten Fußweg bis zur Dorfmitte. Zum Wandern super Ausgangspunkt. Zum Skifahren eher zu weiter Fußweg mit Skiern und Stöcken bis zum Skibus, insbesondere für Kinder aufgrund eines steilen Fußwegs. Restaurant, Gondeln, Busse etc. sind alle ohne Probleme zu Fuß im Sommer, Herbst oder Frühjahr zu erreichen. Zum Wandern ideale Lage. Ruhig und super Blick auf den Eiger vom Chalet und Garten aus. Wir haben uns mit zwei Kindern im Alter von 10-11 Jahren(separter kleiner Schlafraum mit zwei getrennten Betten) wohl gefühlt.
