neighbor was working on his van every afternoon but that's not the owner's fault

Property is called Jack's House but the property name on the house is Preswylfa which is rather confusing

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing & fell well below acceptable standards. On arrival the central heating was not working which is a basic requirement particularly at this time of year. We contacted the host & were given instructions to operate the system but these were ineffective. When we made further contact the response made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests raising a legitimate problem. The central heating was not repaired until late Saturday afternoon leaving us without proper heating for a substantial portion of our stay. No alternative heating was offered; the only heating available was a single small fan heater found in a downstairs room which was wholly inadequate for the size of the property. The standard of cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable. The oven was dirty & the drawer below contained dirty trays & bits of food. Kitchen cupboard doors did not appear to have been wiped down and there was mould around the showers. Overall the property gave the clear impression that it would benefit from a thorough deep clean. Toilet paper was not provided in all bathrooms/toilets. The external wheelie bin was completely full on arrival & although the host stated that this would be dealt with it was not emptied during our stay. There was an active leak in the bay window of our bedroom which left the carpet soaked. We informed the host & were told the property had been empty for some time. This response further highlighted a lack of basic pre-arrival checks, as both the leak & the heating failure should have been identified & addressed before guests arrived. In addition both the host & the plumber accessed the property on multiple occasions by letting themselves in including when we were not present. This was done without clear prior agreement and felt intrusive and unsettling as guests.

We stayed here to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. We all had such a great weekend. The house was so beautiful, the decor throughout and the attention to detail was incredible. Every corner of the house was so very clean. It had all the amenities that we needed. The kids absolutely loved the games room, it was very well equipped! Very easy check in process, and the communication was brilliant. Diolch yn fawr! We had the best stay.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, everything was perfect

It was so spacious and one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed in. Everything still looked new/ in good shape and the location was amazing. Hosts were so lovely and kind. Everyone loved the house.

The cutlery draw was a little dirty but that’s if we’re nitpicking! All in all was incredible.

Good bedroom spaces and nice living area.

The garden - there were lots of bags of rubbish (mainly bottles) which had spilled out over the patio

Enough space for everyone, so comfortable and decorated well. Really homely feel and had everything we needed.

One bedroom door locked itself and we had no keys which could be unsafe depending on the situation, but owners were so lovely and helpful so really nothing bad to say
