Great big Kitchen, loads of space, big rooms bedrooms, Wifi, TV, great to enjoy the house & it's history, A few minor niggles but overall a great stay. One mattress in room 7 was hard, a dripping tap, one toilet struggled to flush, but there were 3 others, Great views from the house and loads of space to walk/run the dog.

We had the best stay here with our friends for our joint 30th birthday. The house and grounds are amazing, and you can see the sea in the distance, too! It’s a perfect and affordable place to make special memories with your family or friends. It’s only a 10/15 minute walk into the town with shops, pubs and restaurants.

We were here for my dad’s 70th birthday and it was a fantastic base for us all to be in. Spaces such as bathrooms and the kitchen could do with being updated and there were some areas that needed some de cobwebbing but the beds were comfy, the dinning room space was nice and the cooker was spot on.

We stayed for 4 days and the experience was wonderful. It was living in 1900s. The house is managed well. There was some minor problems of latch, window in one of the room. But apart from that the stay was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with all cutleries and pans. Hilary (caretaker) was so kind to us. She recommended some wonderful places to visit nearby Tywyn, which were 10/10. She took also took an extra mile to get the gas filled in for the bbq so we could have a good time. Good lawn space in the front made children happy. They could run around and play. And the scenic beauty was enjoyed by the adults.

Set midst secluded stunning Welsh scenery, Tymawr makes for a perfect family gathering. On arrival helpful and friendly Hilary will be there to warmly greet you and explain where everything is and how things work in this splendidly spacious country house which hosts up to 15 people and two dogs with ease. Tymawr offers a warm, welcoming vibe with old world grand charm which encourages visitors to enjoy their downtime with loved ones, whether it be wandering around the inviting grounds, sprawling on a sink-into sofa before the log fire or letting the hours fly with a chill and chat around the expansive dining table. For those lucky enough to stay for a longer holiday, there is so much to enjoy in the super surrounding countryside and coastal location. Our family get-together for a special birthday was a wonderful weekend for all, from the two-year-old toddler to the 70th birthday celebrant and everyone else in-between. Tymawr proved a perfect place for this special family occasion. We hope to be lucky enough to return....

Four families with seven children plus dogs over new year. The house was perfect for us because it is big, lots of living spaces, enough bedrooms and beautiful outdoor space! It is homely and comfortable, with everything we needed in the kitchen. It isn’t pristine, modern or spotlessly clean, it’s a bit tired, has its quirks and some things don’t work but that was perfect for us as we felt able to relax about the kids and dogs. Gorgeous area, with walks, waterfalls, trains and pubs all enjoyed. The field was especially great to have for the dogs, and kids for the one hour when it didn’t rain!
