Lovely weekend break away

We had an amazing stay! It was equipped with everything we needed as a family of 4. Jo and her family were very welcoming and accommodating, letting our little one experience feeding the animals. Highly recommend and we would love to visit again.

1 week stay with 2 girlfriends to celebrate a 40th birthday - ideal quiet hideaway

Great communication prior to arrival with directions and door code instructions. Hot tub was fired up and ready for our arrival. Welcome package including milk for a cuppa on arrival - very important! Loved the description of the farm that included what animals were around and their names - We even got to feed the alpaca's and goats. Jo and Matthew were incredibly kind and friendly, helping with setting up the hot tub one day when we couldn't get it lit (blonde), with first aid assistance and even with nearest beach recommendations Could use a couple of takeaway menu's.

Overall a very nice property in peaceful surroundings

Property was very clean and there were snacks and a 'Happy Birthday' message to greet us, which was a nice touch.

Hot tub would benefit from having a better / higher fence around it to provide more privacy, and also lacked any massage jets which would normally be expected from a hot tub. Quality of mattress was also very disappointing given the price we paid for our stay, was pretty uncomfortable and didn't sleep brilliantly as a result.

Back from a relaxing stay

Greeted by Jo and the little lanbs which was really nice. Photos of the barn dont do it justice , hot tub was wonderful especially at night. Lovely little treats left for us on our arrival. Even bowls and treats for my dog! Nothing to much trouble for Jo and Mark . Overall a lovely relaxing stay!!!

Cosy stay in a beautiful place

Really lovely place, the photos don’t do it justice. Clean, beautifully decorated and the animals were great for my little one to visit (and Millie the cat who visited us was an added bonus)

The bedroom is open to the lounge/kitchen, which meant we had to be very quiet once our baby had gone to bed at 7pm which wasn’t ideal, but didn’t stop us from having a good time and wouldn’t put us off going back, especially in summer when we could sit out.

Everything!!! very cosy , beautiful converted barn ! Loved the wood fire hot tub, very relaxing at night looking up to the stars! location is very relaxing and tranquil, the Pygmy goats , Donkeys and chickens are right on the door step too ! ( we now want some Pygmy goats) lovely hosts ! they even put out some local treats for us , honey , plum bread , crisps and a bottle of Prosecco as we are both getting married very soon very kind and thoughtful of them both !

The owner was nice. Place was tidy but wouldn’t book again, not what we hoped it would be! just pleased we managed to ge

it was nice and clean and had some dog treats and bowls out for the dogs. Once we arrived and realised we’re not happy with the property, we called the owner and sorting out the refund was quite easy apart from the fact we had to stay at the property for an extra 30-ish minutes and got charged £50 for staying there for an hr eventhough we wanted to leave in the first 20mins.

No privacy if you’re going away as a couple. All windowns face the “main house” and the garden is not secured properly. The Garden was only a couple metres big and not siutable for medium breed/large breed dogs maybe even the smaller breeds . The garden door locks from the outside of the door so anyone can come up and open the door and it is not secure for anyone that has a bigger breed dog as ours just managed to push the door open and our other dogs escaped. Not much privacy for the hot tub either. as you can see all the neigbouring windows around you. Quite awkward to be honest. Still was wearing my coat after an 1hr of being there because the house just didn’t warm up. Living room was quite small too, not much space for activities. I believe we had a goat as neighbour as well, and I mean she/he was right there next to the hot tub seperated by a “wooden fence”

The location was perfect. Before our trip the hosts had emailed with clear instructions of how to find the Bolthole and what to do upon our arrival . The Botlhole itself was absolutely perfect, everything you could possibly need for your stay was there and it was all to a very high standard. Hot tub was an absolute delight .
