Overall lovely, but marred by the fly problem, which was compounded by failure of owner to fix it.
The cottage was lovely, in a nice rural location, with easy access to nearby market towns and coast. Cosy, deceptively spacious, well equipped. Overall, it was very clean (but see comment about flies below).
There was a fly infestation in the top bedroom. Flies literally falling from the window/ceiling onto the bed and the floor. We brought it to the attention of the owner, who I think lives next door, and they said ‘thank you’. We expected it would be dealt with - but my niece and sister and friends stayed in the cottage a couple of weeks later - and the flies were still a problem. Pretty unpleasant, and the one who was staying in the top bedroom abandoned it and slept on the sofa for two nights instead. Very disappointing that the owner had not tackled the problem - which could have emanated from a dead creature in the roof. Pretty unpleasant.

Hideaway character cottage.
Lovely v old cottage with large garden to suit us and our terrier. Comfortable and cosy. Quality tr eats left for us and our pooch .Would highly recommend this as it is very quiet and rural yet near local towns and the Wolds for walks in hills.
