Home away from home. The Apartment has every facility you would use at home.

We loved everything about this accommodation, including our introduction to the management staff who were so informative about the area, transport, weather, places to eat, etc. The apartments are brand new. Don't be fooled by the Google photo as it pre-dates the new apartment construction. We had everything within a new minutes (less than 5) available to us - transport, many restaurants, supermarket, shopping.

So glad we booked Modern City Apartments for our 3 nights here in Interlaken!

Thomas kept in constant contact prior to the check-in and was at the office when I arrived. Helped us with the check-in process with clear explanations on things to note. There is a lift so we did not have to carry our luggage up flights of stairs! The unit we booked (2-bedroom apartment with balcony) had everything for our family of 4. Living room/dining area and bedrooms were cosy. The washer + tumble dryer came with 2 complementary wash pods, we bought more for ourselves from the nearby Coop supermarket. Overall no complaints during our 3 nights here! Very satisfied, will book again for future visits!

Great and book if i come back again

Love the property although the picture in booking.com is not the accommodation itself. Good kitchenette and host was great. In between Interlaken Ost and West which are both 15-20mins walking distance. For people with luggage or elderly, direct bus 21 which takes u to Interlaken Ost, and 1stop from both stations. U walk down this colourful umbrella alley which was nice place to take pictures. Lots of halal food options around although its pricey. Bed was comfy.

Pillow was on the flatter side so for anyone who need a fatter pillow or higher elevation, i suggest u bring something extra like an inflatable pillow.

Comfortable and like home.

Property was clean and well equipped. Location is perfect. central to everything. Short walk from interlaken west and not that far from Interlaken ost. Check in was easy and straight forward.

Modern, Clean, Safe close to the train station..

It was close to the train station about 7-10mins walk. It had all the things that we needed. The apt. was clean, bed was comfortable..The Area was close to restaurants, coop grocery store, etc.. we felt safe during our stay. Anna and Bettina was very nice and was able to accomodate our early arrival and early departure as well..

The pillow needed more filler/stuffing, i needed to stack 2 pillows so i can get a good support for my neck. I wish they gave more than 2 pods for the washing machine. Aside from these, we had a very good stay at the modern apts

So much potential…but a letdown.

Good location. Spacious.

My wife slept on the sofa the first two nights because of urine smell on her side of the bed. The bed frame is creaky and, with no headboard, only one pillow each was very uncomfortable. She ran the Jungfrau Marathon with virtually no sleep because of the bed problems. Mildew in shower and on shower curtain. The shower had no edge and flooded the bathroom. The entire bedroom smelled like mildew after a shower. No basic amenities like Kleenex, salt and pepper. No towel swap out with a bathroom that floods. We were offered to move but it was the day of the marathon. We were given 100 CHF for the first night?…

Excellent Stay in the Heart of Interlaken!

We had a wonderful stay at Modern City Apartments in Interlaken. The building is brand new and strategically located near several supermarkets and great restaurants. It’s just a short walk from both Jungfraustrasse bus stop and Interlaken West train station, which made getting around very convenient.The apartment itself was modern, clean, and well equipped, truly a perfect base for exploring the region. A special thank you to Bettina and Thomas for their outstanding hospitality! Bettina was incredibly welcoming and flexible during both check-in and check-out. She also took the time to share excellent recommendations for local activities, which we really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

One thing to note is that the apartment doesn’t have air conditioning, which is quite common in Switzerland, but the overall comfort more than made up for it.

Highly recommend!

The building is brand spanking new, and so well built (good airflow and concrete walls for noise reduction)! The unit is big, airy, and full of light. It has all the major amenities (especially good working washer/dryer and dishwasher), and it's super quiet and slightly tucked away despite being so close to the major Interlaken hub. So after your day trips to the beautiful area, you can come home to fully relax and rejuvenate. Absolutely would stay here again and again!

Clean And Modern Accomodations Close To The Main Street.

The rooms were oversized and modern. My family was lucky to have received a room in the newly built building (some of their buildings were not as new). There was a very nice terrace to my room. The furniture and appliances were new and modern. There was an in-suite washer and dryer. The staff was very friendly and professional. Location is in walking distance to Interlaken West train station, the bus line, restaurants, and shops.

The building is not on the main street so some navigation is required to familiarize yourself with the area when going back to your room. Having said this, it is a short walk from the main street with many restaurants and shops. There is no air conditioning but room fans were provided.

Few things can be improved. The pillow is not good. It’s completely flat and does not support the neck. There is only one mirror, which is in the washroom. So if the washroom is occupied, other people can’t use it.

Maximize the value and the experience of your stay at the Apartment.

Very spacious apartment meant that we got more space for less money ( as compared to Hotels). Location is right in the middle of Interlaken close to stations ( Interlaken West) and restaurants. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We were allowed early Check-in which greatly helped us utilize our day since we had a lot of luggage and had it not been for the early check-in we had no better option. We had a nice lovely chat with the host about the things to see ( not the big famous sites online, but how to find the perfect picnic spot, where to go when - this allowed us to maximize our limited time and focus on what we wanted out of our trip. The Apartments are NEW. Spacious. I would book here again. Kitchen was well furnished. Laundry and dish cleaning supplies were provided. Cooking was easy. Only 1 small thing which we worked around anyways. - the TV didn't have much options. We couldn't sign in to our Nflix , streaming services accounts to watch our content, nor were there a whole lot of of English options. We connected our laptop to the TV, via the hdmi cable from the back and watched our stuff. It was a small thing.

TV issue is not a big issue.

Very clean and modern. In a great location close to everything, but a peaceful area. Interlaken West train station is a short walk.

Very extraordinary place to stay

The property is a brand new modern apartment. The location is very near Interlaken West and just 8' walking distance. It has an additional toilet and terrace which make very comfortable for the family to really enjoy the holiday. The property has an elevator which very convenient for staying at the higher floor especially for carrying the luggages. The host came to welcome and gave explanations how to use the facility, gave recommendation what to do and where to go during holiday in Interlaken. The host is very responsive and fast to solve if there is a problem. The host came again to say goodbye and thank you.

The apartment was a stone's throw away from the main street, food and shopping. Clean new and super.

Location was 10-15 minutes walk from Interlaken West train station so not too bad with luggage. Thomas sent a map link so that we could find the shortest route. He met us there with the keys and showed us to the unit. And on check out he gave us a ride to the station!

The route to the apartment was a bit dark at some junctions. Perhaps taking the main road is better albeit a bit further.
