Affordable Accommodation for Hermanus

The accommodation was very clean

It would have been nice if there was a fan, there were mushrooms growing on the floor in the kitchen, the main room bed was really not comfortable the second rooms bed was much better

Peaceful stay in Hermanus

The property is in a safe, quiet area. It has the basics. Briefly met a staff, Talent, who is very helpful and professional. Wifi is good inside the house.

The bathroom is too small. Also, there's only one pan and a small pot. We had to buy non-sticky pots. There's no braai area or outside sitting area, but a small braai stand is available. The front door has clear glass panels, with no blinds or curtains.

Nice place , but still works around

There are no problems anymore about electricity cuts and WiFi . Everything works . The only thing is that the sink in the bathroom is very small .., it’s more a sink to wash your hands , but not to do your make-up

The owner is renting out the unit too early , as he is still working on at least two others units in the same building ( only ground floor) . So we were woken up by loud speaking workers and a very strong smell op paint, as they were painting the unit next to us ( with a connecting door) . Please wait with renting out your place , till all works have been finished .

Very nice unit, just need attention to finer details

The property was very close to town, very safe and quiet area. Easy access to property. Host was very friendly. Clean bedding and towels.

There are no curtain /blinds at front door, hence no privacy. The paint smell was unbearable, my husband and son has sinus and could not sleep with the strong paint smell. Only 1 plate stove and obviously only 1 pan. Would have loved to have the basics like salt and pepper. Toilet is very small.

Don't expect more for what you pay, for just a sleepover it is fine!

All the basic staff was supplied, bedding and towels where clean.

The bathroom is durty and could be upgraded. The tiles and roof have lots of mould, a good clean would be a great start. The furniture in living room need a upgrade, dirty and not comfy any more. Lots of weed in front of apartment, will take 5 min to pull out!

Advert is deceiving as it is quite far from the sea and it actually felt like a converted garage rather than an apartment. Also accommodation was very dirty and we were woken up early each morning with the building work.

Stylish little house by the sea

Werner is an awesome host. Got us teaspoons and a clothes horse for wet clothes upon request. Unit is very clean and comfortable.

I liked everything however... As a smoker I respected the "no smoking in the unit rule". But having to stand outside in the rain smoking is no fun. Recommendations: 1. Some sort of shelter in the courtyard where you're allowed to smoke as the next guest may not respect the rules. 2. Hooks behind bedroom doors for nightgowns.

We were very pleased with the accommodation and the quality and cleanliness in whole.

Nothing that we really did not like but would have love a soap dish in the shower and a washing line in the garden area. Cars are not in an enclosed area.

Pleasant

The beds were super comfortable. It is in a quaint area and very close to the waterfront. The host is pleasant and is quick to respond to calls and queries.

The bathroom is very very small, the toilet is crammed into a corner between 2 walls and a sink, that's not very comfortable and it is also needs maintenance as it is unpleasant to the eye. The shower is also small and is hard to maneuver in, it also has a very high ledge, which posed as a tripping hazard on multiple occasions. There is a Mat in the shower that compounded the situation as it in itself was slippery. The day we arrived here, it was raining, and after almost slipping which was almost catastrophic, I noticed I had stepped into a puddle of water on the floor just outside the smaller room door, which my partner and I were occupying. Upon investigation, my partner and I realized that the roof was leaking above the door frame. The WiFi was sluggish and intermittent at times. The Netflix and Prime Video I had to log in with my personal details as this was not provided, but there is a TV. There's not much natural light and ventilation in the unit, which could be improved. In general, the unit needs a little more TLC.
