155 on Beach Club

We like the vicinity and the security. Place was easy to find and close enough to the Town. The place also offers a nice walk route inside and outside the the complex although I was suprised by the neighbours outside the complex، but was assured by the Bar lady that the area is fairly safe

Inside the Flat was a couple of broken items that were not replaced before we came. Broken Kettle lid, broken Dustbin lid. Broken racks inside th Fridge. All the draws in the freeze were cracked. The Iron did not work and we had to do without it for the entire week. This anoyed my wife. For summer I would have prefered summer bedding as it was very uncomfortable. The inernet on the TV was also intermittent and sometimes would just drop. Your cutlery also should be replaced as there is a lot of mismatch items These items gave the place a cheap feel It was small things but anoying. For the price we payed I endured and made the best of it

It was pleasant and relaxing. Good walks each night. Easy access information. Any questions asked to host was answered which is a bonus and important.

The people upstairs do not know about time is to keep quiet. They just spoke loud till after 11pm or sounded like the youth was playing with the ball inside. At 8 you were in relax mode then by 10 sleep mode which was a no no due to noise. The squatter camp was more obedient.

There were sports activities for the kids, it is close to the sea, the jnit was clean.

We had to get own towels, there is a squatter camp right opposite the entrance, there were missing utensils, only informed about requiring a damage deposit and needed to bring our own refuse bags and loo paper after the booking was made. The rooms are smaller than expected.

It was comfortable and pleasant. We had everything we needed.

We were anxious as we couldn't open the key safe with the code supplied to us. It turned out that the wrong code had been supplied. The place wasn't spotless clean, e.g. dishcloth looked grey and dirty, shower floor can do with a proper scrub, kitchen window was very dirty, dustbin's lid was loose/broken, scatter cushions have seen better days. The porch was dirty and the lawn directly off the porch was covered by cigarette buts. It wasn't nice to sit there.

Unit was close to all activities, great for kids and very peacefull and with the ups wifi was available during loadshedding.

Besides from a damaged bed in the main room and loadshedding, everything was good

Pleasant

The property is right next to the ocean so you could walk around and have a spectacular view. The facilities for kids was great. Putt putt, games and really nice swimming pool

There is a rural settlement across the road so you could not venture out after dark. It didn't feel 100% safe outside the complex, although felt fine inside. The main bedroom mattress was broken so was very uncomfortable. The one room and most of the cupboards seemed to have damp issues.

the bed/mattress in the first room at the feet/bottom end seemed to have been broken/worn out, so much so that it made a dent in the bed. but it didn’t bother us much because it was at the bottom end.

There was no welcome pack, like Small sachet of sugar tea or coffee . Other than that the stay was fine and I like the fact that there was an electric blanket. We didn't get cold.The place was clean. We did enjoy our stay.

Hermanus 🌊

Rooms were clean. Kitchen was small, but workable. Views of the ocean was breathing on the cliff. Good value for money. Weekend was good, just abit windy. Easy check in & out.

I think WiFi would be great to install, out signal was very bad. And dstv with sport packages. Direction for using of stove. The braai was not as expected, not a weber, but 2 man braai. Parking is small.

Don't like the location of an informal settlement alongside the HBC. Will not be visiting again due to this. Felt uncomfortable that there was no measures to stop criminals from entering via the beach

Disappointing

The property's location on the beachfront is great, although it should be noted that it is not near a swimming beach. Located fairly close to town center and restaurants.

Advance knowledge that the property is basically located in an informal settlement would have been nice. Unit is very small and poorly equipped,eg. no Weber, no towels, very old crockery, uncomfortable beds, rusted/inferior pots and pans, etc. Bathroom very dated and bath shower causes the floor to be flooded every time you use it. Neighbors (permanent residents) were noisy. Overall not an experience we enjoyed - we left a day early.
