I loved the scenery, the peaceful time spent was well deserved. .

We paid for the cleaning service but no one pitched to clean. Don't know if cleaning only happens after we leave crockery could be upgraded.

THE WORST HOLIDAY BOOKING I HAVE EVER HAD AT THE HERMANUS BEACH CLUB.

THE ATTITUDE AND ACTIONS OF THE HOSTESS WERE UNPROFESSIONAL. SHE WAS UNHELPFUL. WHEN I APPLIED FOR THE UNIT I INDICATED THAT I WOULD ARRIVE AT 10:00. SHE ONLY SENT A MESSAGE TO SAY THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME AT THAT TIME, WHEN I HAD ALREADY BEEN WAITING AT THE HERMANUS BEACH CLUB FOR HALF AN HOUR . THE TV WAS N OT WORKING. WHEN I REPORTED THIS TO HER SHE SAID THAT IT HAD WORKED PERFECTLY UNTIL WE ARRIVED AND SHE THREATENED THAT I COULD BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS IF I HAD BROKEN IT. AFTER MORE THAN A DAY THE REPARERS ARRIVED AND I TOOK A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE PART ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING THAT THEY REPLACED. THAT PART WAS SO WORN THAT IT WAS JUST IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TV TO HAVE WORKED PERFECTLY AS THE HOST INDICATED. INITIALLY THERE WERE NO TOWELS AND SHE ONLY INDICATED THEN THAT THAT UNIT DID NOT SUPPLY TOWELS. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INDICATED BEFOREHAND. THERE WERE MORE PROBLEMS BUT THE MATTERS THAT I RAISE SHOULD INDICATE WHY WE HAD A VERY UNPLEASANT WEEKEND ENDURING INCONVENIENCE AND IRRITATION BECAUSE OF THE ACTIONS OF THE HOSTESS.

We could not pack our clothes in the wardrobe as it's aged and has the old wood smell but not really something to write home about. Also, dstv only worked upon arrival, rest of the stay it was just a white elephant

The accommodation was not aired out so it was not very welcoming, the rooms were too small, we were four adults. Also neeeds a new welcome mat, the place does need an upgrade, the dstv didn't work.

The sliding door were not working correctly, the bathroom basin plug needs to be fixed, rodent activity in the main bedroom cupboards we had to remove our clothes, definitely that must be looked into.

Unpleasant Stay

The unit was absolutely filthy when we arrived. There was mold everywhere, which is a health hazard. We were unable to use the crockery or cutlery, as the mold was so bad. We ended up having to buy our own. Bed sheets were broken. Curtains were absolutely filthy. The shower over the bath is not functional at all. The entire bathroom floor would be wet after taking a shower. There was mold in the bathroom as well. Definitely would not recommend this unit.

We just did not have a wifi cide or aything to connect which should be a standard these days.

Wifi could have been setup especially with ups for when the electticity goes off and a generator or backup power supply shoukd be considered as Eskom dissapointed eveyone and we coukd not do anything fr more 16hours of power we did nit have.

There is an informal settlement 50m from where we stayed. It smelled like sewerage the whole stay. The fridge smelled rotten and it took me an hour to clean it. The dustbin didnt have a lid and it loured alot od insects. The bedding was dirty and mouldy. The bbq grill was dirty.

we liked the facilities and close proximity to the beach. the unit is a nice size for 4 people.

when we arrive the unit smelled like smoke and like the windows weren't open for a while. and i had to clean before we could use the unit. the kitchen & bathroom need some TLC . squatter camp very close to HBC.

It was good value for money.

It was hot and ceiling fans for both rooms should be considered!!!!! I was most shocked about the squater camp on arrival and there is unfortunately no alternative road. I don't recommend people driving at night time to and from the complex. The Hermanus Municipality and should consider building a wall for residents to feel more safe. I recommend a fund raising by the Hermanus residents for this matter.

I love the sea and nature two elements one could find beautiful sunset.

If your at the sea there will always be a wet towel a drieng rack or line is needed for hanging wet close I'm not going to waist my time at a laundry.if they could have a look at the draws and cupboards it has a mould smell not healthy for where one is preparing food.
