Staircase in the apartment was very steep! Be mindful of this while booking with small children (like ourselves). There are also apartments with other staircases that aren’t as steep (according to the photos)

Good spot for comfortable stay - but bring your own cot for a baby

Overall a great place, easy to arrange the arrival, parking (must be paid for extra), and clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff, seemed to be students who only speak English. Location is also good.

We were travelling with a small kid of 1 year old, so we wanted to use the cot for the baby to sleep in. The Ocean House is charging 15 euros PER NIGHT to use a cot, which is really outrageous. Most hotels I've been to provide a cot for free, or ask a one-time payment of a few euros. Charging 15 euros per night for a cot is absolutely nuts.

Excellent location close to the beach, amazing design and confortable spaces.

Confortable, quiet, excellent design and amazing use of space for a short stay in Shceveningen. Great location close by good restaurants and a few steps from the beach.

The place was amazing, nothing to complain, we definitely will return on summer to enjoy the beach.

Great Value, will visit again

Great location near the beach in the middle of Kaiserstraat. Lots of local shopping, restaurants and pubs. The staff is very frendly and helpful. The room is big open and bright with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities.

The elevator is irritatingly slow but it works and get's you between floors in the end :-)

Breakfast, which we had in the room, was absolutely fantastic, but far too much. The amount was adequate for two mornings. Location was ideal, as it was near the beach for some fantastic walks and close to all amenities on the beach. Also close to local shops and amenities. The tram stops were close to the hotel so again ideal to get to the city centre facilities.

The instructions for the car park was a little misleading but that was probably down to me not reading them properly. The truly only negative aspect of the stay was a very noisy guest in the room above us who insisted of "thumping"around and making a lot of noise during the day and during the night. It was difficult to have a a good night sleep. This was not the hotel's fault but did spoil the visit.

Excellent accommodation right by the beach - great value

Great location a minute from the beach and on a pedestrian shopping street, easy access, parking next door (available for a fee), really friendly helpful staff, accommodation standard was excellent, found the virtual AI assistant on WhatsApp very useful for quick questions and housekeeping. Can also recommend the burger restaurant/bar next door as well - super friendly and nice live music.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Scheveningen. Steps from great food, bars, cafes, restaurants!

The location is really great, its right on one of the main streets in Scheveningen, close to several coffee shops, and excellent bakery, and a great greek restaurant. Reception was very friendly and helpful, they were excellent. Room was nice, plenty of room for our family of 4 (kids 7 and 3). Nice large bed and tv, kitchenette with all the appropriate dishes, pots, knives etc.

Im not sure if its mentioned in the postings, but there is no parking at the Ocean house, the parking lot they are affiliated with is about a 12 minute walk, and i believe costs €25 per night. Its a minor inconvenience and extra cost, but something I should have paid more attention to. Only other thing is that the pillows were not very comfortable at all for me or my wife. They are square versus rectangular shaped and were just not very good in our opinion.

We loved our stay!!!

We really loved our stay! We stayed in a standard apartment so our baby could sleep in the bedroom and we could still watch tv in the separate living room. It was really nice and clean! The bed was super comfortable and our baby slept good in the baby bed. The parking space was 50 meters away and felt really secure to leave our car at. The beach is a 5 minute walk away!

Great staff and location. Rooms are nice, but quite crowded. With a family it was a challenge to stay there.

Rooms were crowded, tough to get by with kids. Parking is outrageously priced (25 Euros per night). No breakfast available on order, but can be added upon check in - and it is also too expensive (17 Euros).

Would recommend!

Location is really nice, staff already put our card on in the room so the room would already be warm, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very spatious, so was the bathroom. Asked staff if they could put rose petals on the bed and they were happy to do so at no extra charge.

No 24/7 reception, found a small stain on the bed sheet though the bedsheets did look cleaned. Was a persistent stain. Didn't see a remote in the room, though staff is happy to help with that issue.

Good location

As we arrived, technical faults prevented access to property (couldn’t drop heavy bags), door keys did not work ever (cutting machine defect) and no official place to store my personal bicycle (not rented bike), but I eventually convinced the staff I would lock it around the back entrance, clear of fire exit. There is a link to an app (via WhatsApp) but if your mobile is out of battery or no Wi-Fi, then you can’t access building. The reception is basically a small box room office which doesn’t present well to guests. Fortunately a staff rep came to our aid and assisted us but it was not a smooth Checkin that relies too much on AI and messaging. A designated bike shed would be a useful addition in rear courtyard, plenty of space.

Great place to stay, would recommend it !

The location of this hotel was ideal, easy to find, close to the beach, on a cute little shopping/restaurant street. The hotel is well appointed, clean and modern design, we were very happy with our room, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. It was also great to be able to rent bikes directly from the hotel, made getting around really easy and fun !

The fact that there was no house keeping for the duration of our stay.

Great facility on a super location

We found the rooms to be on the smaller side but reasonably well-equipped. It would have been more convenient for us, as a family with two small children, to have access to a washing machine or laundry facilities within the building. Unfortunately, we overlooked this detail during the booking process. However, there was a laundromat located very close by, so this issue was quickly resolved. Housekeeping services were provided every 2 to 3 days, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us with any special requests or inquiries we had. The staff members were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. The beach is undoubtedly the main attraction close to Ocean House and we spent the majority of our vacation there. We were fortunate enough to have great weather Ocean House unquestionably delivers a quality experience and offers good value for the money, especially considering its fantastic location.

One minor downside we experienced was that the cleaning and vacuuming seemed to exclude the area under the beds and sofas. This has been a recurring observation in many accommodations we have visited thus far, not only Ocean House. It is disappointing to find dust and debris from previous guests underneath the beds, especially considering that one of our children has a dust allergy.

Excellent apartment in a perfect location - comfortable and friendly

Really lovely apartment which was very well equipped with everything you need to cook and eat. Very comfortable and beautifully designed space. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent - really lovely street and close walk to the pier and beach.

The hotel was good value for money, however parking was an additional 25 euro which was quite a lot in addition to the room price.

Dreamy beach stay in modern accommodations.

Located on a cute street with shops and restaurants. Just a couple minutes walk to the beach and central to everything you need. Room was spacious and equipped with everything you need. Very up to date with modern amenities.
