the real highlight was the absolutely amazing staff - from helping us with our reservation, to the attention and care we received during our stay... the staff were phonomenal. The breakfast was also very good and the coffee was great. The hotel is conveniently located next to public transport, and the rooms are overall comfortable.

The reason for my lower score is the many many additional and quite high fees or inconsistencies in offering - this is already a higher-end hotel. The fact that there is only a generic hand/body/hair soap available is quite shocking at this price point. At the very least some body lotion or other amenities add to the type of caliber that this hotel should be at. Other reasons include the paid parking being quite expensive, the fee for the dog as well ... not to mention the fee for the spa and the pool which is inconsistently marked across sites. Regarding the parking and dog fees, we regularly travel by car and with the dog and have never come across a hotel with such high fees for these two things, despite staying in quite nice places. Regarding the sauna/pool fee - this was quite the shock and is not consistently marked across sites (booking.com, where at the very bottom it says there is a charge for sauna but NOT massages or other services? very weird and confusing; the hotels own website, which says the sauna and pool are free and the only charge is for the "spa package"'; or even the check-in link shared via email and whatsapp which doesn't metnion there is a fee involved). Once again, literally never in our time traveling and staying in nice places with spa have we come across having to pay for the sauna and pool offered at the hotel as guests - this is the first time we have come across this, and this is the main reason for our serious downgrade in review.

The only negative was a stained towel in my room.

We liked pretty much everything about the place: spacious and clean room, great view on the park. The choice of breakfast was very good, including gluten-free options, much appreciated! Staff were polite and friendly. The wellness area was great, we enjoyed the sauna, the hammam and the pool. The location is also superb, you can easily get there from the HS train station, and the very same tram takes you to the city centre and to the beach. Our room was very quiet, we could not hear neighbours.

Small details: it would be practical to have some extra hangers on the bathroom walls to dry bikinis and bathing suits. The wellness area could be open longer in the weekend and by the end of the day, the body lotion in the spa shower room ran out. It would also be nice to have body lotion in the room.

The staff was really nice, polite and professional. The entire place made a premium impression, the hotel bar was really cosy and the wellness also had a nice atmosphere. Although only infra sauna was presented among pictures on booking, it was a pleasant surprise, that Finnish sauna was also available. I especially liked that room cleaning was only on demand.

I was very satisfied with everything, only one small suggestion I would like to make. If I go to a hotel (this category and price) I usually expect shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the room, because I would not take my own with me. Maybe sustainability is the reason why these were not provided. Personally I think the pool is too small to swim, but not warm enough just to chill. But generally the wellness is enjoyable and I understand, that this is not sport facility for swimmers.
