Some sound proofing would benefit property/rooms, but I understand -this is a house.

Strange atmosphere, not allowed to take our suitcases upstairs just in case we damaged the stairs. Lots of rooms with locks and the cleaning lady living downstairs. No front door key provided it you have to ring the doorbell day and night!

Unfortunately, our stay at this B&B was disappointing. While the house looks charming in pictures, the experience was overshadowed by overly rigid and impractical house rules. Guests are expected to remain silent after 9 p.m., and even have to choose between morning or evening showers so as not to disturb others. That’s not something you’d expect in a paid accommodation. We brought our small dog, who is exceptionally quiet, clean, and well-trained. We paid an additional pet fee in cash (without a receipt), yet were told the dog could not walk on the tiled floor and had to be carried — an unreasonable expectation. He peacefully slept on his towel under the table, but must have climbed into the bed during the night — very unusual for him, likely caused by the loud door slamming from other guests, which woke us multiple times. After checkout, we received a message demanding €65 for “extra cleaning” — which included washing winter blankets, drying them in a tumble dryer, washing the mattress pad, treating the mattress with a “special compound against dog odor,” shaking out and “extended washing” of the bed linens, and energy and staff costs. The message also included a 2-day payment deadline for an international bank transfer to a third-party account we were never introduced to. Frankly, this raises serious questions: is the implication that the bedding would not normally be washed between guests unless a dog was present? That would be unacceptable. It’s completely normal to wash bed linens after a stay — and treating it as an extraordinary effort is both misleading and, quite frankly, ridiculous. We also strongly recommend the host remove the “pet-friendly” label from this listing. If a dog as clean, quiet, and calm as ours causes such an issue, we can’t imagine how other pet owners would be treated. The entire experience felt more restrictive and scrutinized than welcoming.
