Continental breakfast was plentiful with the added bonus of a homemade loaf cake. The room was large with all the amenities needed.

I would think that during a 3 night stay that one could rinse out a few personal items and not be chastised on the booking.com site.

A clean, comfortable and well run Bed and Breakfast establishment in a family home.

Breakfasts were delicious, comprising variety each day. Our bedroom was clean and comfortably furnished and the en suite bathroom was very thoughtfully designed. This Bed and Breakfast establishment in the owner's home felt very secure and private.

A little gentle background music in the breakfast room would avoid the feeling of having to whisper self-consciously.

Perfect for Blois when there’s not a heatwave

The interior of the property is beautiful. Our bedroom was spacious, very clean and well furnished. The bed was comfortable. The room had 3 windows and was light filled We do not speak French and the owner does not speak English; however we managed to communicate using translation apps and other guests too! This has been a problem mentioned in other reviews but we didn’t mind and the owner was friendly towards us. Breakfast was good.

There is no air conditioning and during our stay the weather was hot. At 10pm it was still 30 degrees. The room had 2 fans and we kept the shutters closed during the day. This helped a bit.

Too far from the centre of town but if you have a car it’s probably better.

The house is very clean and Chantal makes a fantastic breakfast. She tries to be a pleasant host for guests.

Not recommended for solo travelers and too expensive for what you get. The garden does not look like the photos. It’s is just dirt and not nice to sit. I did not feel safe walking into town and back in the evening. It’s located in the back streets of an area which is very quiet and all the shutters are down. There were a few times I had to cross the road with the homeless or groups of teenage boys walking by and no one else to be seen. Although I arrived at 4pm we seemed to catch the host by surprise. She was very rude to my friends who were dropping me off. Although I explained I didn’t speak French (I have a translate app) she continued to speak at me in French all the time which was just awkward. My friends paid half the price and got a great place near the river with a kitchen and washing machine.

Very nice property. Very quiet. The train in the far, barely audibile with open windows, adds to the romance of this antique building. Nice decorations with children toys from the early last century. Great breakfast made with love. Please comply with published check-in times or inform the owner family.

Très magnifique

I stayed here for two nights while touring the beautiful Loire Valley, and it was an absolute gem. The location is ideal—just a 5-minute walk to the Royal Château of Blois and plenty of lovely cafés nearby for lunch. The host was wonderfully warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Each morning began with a delicious French breakfast featuring fresh artisan bread, croissants, prosciutto, goat cheese, and perfectly brewed coffee—an absolute treat! I stayed in the Amandine room, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable—plenty of room for two to relax after a day of exploring. While there’s no private parking, I easily found free spots right outside with no hassle. I’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay!

It's a beautiful quiet place with a lovely French breakfast and very kind hosts. The room size is quite large for France and it is beautifully decorated.

For those who suffer from severe allergies just be aware that in the common spaces there may be a challenge for you but in the room the air quality is perfect.

We received a kind hospitality from the host lady. Cosy and well decolated room furnished with all necessary goods. (My partner really loves the interior and accesories of the room. We feel the affection of the host lady toward her property.) Nice breakfast. Walking distance to the castle and historical area.

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel. Wonderful combination of new facilities eg beds, shower, sink paired with carefully selected vintage pieces. The owner has a great eye for style. And of course, the fantastic breakfast everyone mentions along with the wonderful attentive owner. Amazing place.

Very little to dislike. Location was excellent, car parking was a little tight but never failed to get a spot outside the hotel, might be trickier at busy times of year.

An sich war die Gastgeberin freundlich, allerdings gab es bei jeder Begegnung neue Regeln und Hinweise auf Fehlverhalten unsererseits. Mal war es ein auf Kipp geöffnetes Fenster, weil wir es etwas stickig in unserem Zimmer fanden, mal eine einzelne noch angeschaltete Lampe im Zimmer während unserer Abwesenheit (wir finden es ganz angenehm in der Fremde, wenn man nicht in ein gänzlich dunkles Hotelzimmer zurückkehrt). Da kommt dann die Gastgeberin schon mal ins Zimmer und löscht das Licht... Tipps, Anregungen, best practice etc. sind von Einheimischen immer eine tolle Sache - wenn sie denn angefragt werden. Ungefragt können ausufernde Infos, welche man gar nicht benötigt, durchaus etwas anstrengend sein. Wem derlei nicht aufstößt, der hat in dieser Unterkunft aber eine gute Adresse

La casa era de lo más cómoda. La ubicación era dentro de ciudad pero en la parte antigua o sea callecitas y callecitas que te podés perder. El primer día tuvimos la suerte de encontrar estacionamiento en la puerta. Si no hay un estacionamiento público abajo en la avenida que de 9pm a 9 am del día siguiente es gratis y dsp hay que poner moneditas en el parquímetro ! Muy cómodo y cercano . Todo eso lo aprendimos en el restaurante que una familia si hablaba inglés y nos ayudó.El Desayuno es personalizado o sea todo lo que necesitas te lo ponen en la mesa. Riquísimo todo y casero.Salvo que quieras comer un muy rico budín que está aparte .Para lo único que te tenés que levantar. Camadas cómodas . Buen baño. Todo es como un loft con separaciones para el w.c.. Persianas eléctricas . Hay cafetera y pava eléctrica y agua en el cuarto. Dan llaves y te manejas libremente. Como llegamos tipo 7 pm pasadas nos dio indicaciones para un restaurante muy bueno e igual de caro. Pero si caminas un poco hay varios cafés ,pizzerías etc!

Chantal la dueña , muy amable pero no habla nada de inglés o español. Con lo cual se hace difícil entenderse. Ni bien llegamos nos pidió el pago de unos tax, que según la reserva no teníamos que pagar nada. Pero era tan poco que no iba a tener un problema con ellos por eso. No que no me gustara,pero hay escaleras para entrar a la casa y en la casa para el cuarto! Y lo que tiene que poner atención es en los horarios ,sobre todo el de llegada ,el tránsito y la lluvia hicieron que no pudiéramos llegar con más tiempo y llegamos sobre lo hora final que reciben .

Venu pour le travail, j’ai passé un excellent séjour. La chambre était vraiment très propre, spacieuse et magnifique, tout était parfait. J’ai dormi au calme et j’ai été très bien accueilli, l’hôte est agréable, attentionnée et compréhensive. Arrivé hors des horaires d’accueil (en ayant prévenu à l’avance à cause du train), j’ai beaucoup apprécié la grande flexibilité et la gentillesse de l’hôte. Le petit-déjeuner est varié, copieux et de qualité, avec de bons produits salés et sucrés : charcuterie, pains variés, jus d’orange délicieux… J’ai même pu profiter d’un petit-déjeuner anticipé avant un départ matinal, toujours avec le même sens du service. Un séjour parfait du début à la fin. Je reviendrai sans hésiter.
