Staff on first approach to check in were abrupt about checking in, no offer to store luggage, said I needed to move the car yet other cars were parked in the same place for the duration of our stay.

The location is great. On the river and only a short walk to the centre. The rooms are comfortable if a little tired and in need of a refit. Overall acceptable.

I had paid for the rooms in advance but the checking staff refused to accept this and made a pount that it didn't matter what I had on my phone, in my emails. They insisted to take for the room but then had to refund me as when they really checked they found I had paid. This was awkward and time wasting. There were not enough staff in the bar area and at times we had to serve our selves and at others we were queueing for a long time.

Exactly what we were looking for on a stop over in Blois.

Staff we're really welcoming and helpful. The property was easy to find (we were driving). No problems getting a parking space without pre-booking. Location was perfect, lovely very short walk into the old town along the river. Room was clean and comfortable.

Just really wish they would ditch the coffee machine and just provide a decent cafetière or instant and some fresh milk. It’s not too much to ask when paying £200 / €220 per night. Rooms are looking slightly tired.

Good Blois base

Restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. Air conditioned room and free parking just next to the hotel. Easy access along the riverfront and a good location for exploring Blois.

I struggled with the pillows, which were quite hard and heavy.

Check-in staff were great

Room was very small. We booked the superior tour with top end hotels. This was the poorest of the bunch. We had a very fancy dinner with you. During a change of course, our waiter took a dirty/used knife, covered in sauce and put it beside my plate for the next course rather than giving me a new knife.

Delightful hotel on the banks of the Loire

Even by the high standards of the Mercure chain of hotels, this one is exceptional. A beautiful, modern building which is mostly a giant, glass-roofed atrium, it provides huge, airy, light spaces. The bar in the atrium is a very comfortable and pleasant place to sit. There is a good indoor swimming pool plus sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. We ate very well in the restaurant. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped.

Very central located, very good breakfast, dog friendly, handy small fridge in the room. Reasonable stay.

Rather unfriendly staff looked like was making me a favor checking us in and answering my questions about parking. Parking at the hotel was full so I parked in the long parking area (a part of it is for free) in front of the hotel overnight which looked safe.

Great location, great hotel, always our preferred location when we come to Blois.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and professional. They accommodated our request to stay just a bit past the checkout time to facilitate managing our baggage.

The shower with the open wall is quite uncomfortable for getting the bathroom floor wet. We understand the use for hygiene reasons, but making it just a bit longer would be helpful. Or at least provide a few extra towels to help manage any mess.

Will definitely stay again as location is perfect.

Excellent location on the north bank of the Loire - 5 minutes’ walk from the old town and 5 minutes’ drive to access A10. Indoor swimming pool and the gym has views of the river. Bed was very comfortable and shower room very clean. Small fridge in room to keep drinks cool.

Too many small lights from thermometer and TV and ceiling sprinkler which kept us awake. Not sure if there is a way of dimming them or switching TV off completely at night.

The staff and the breakfast were quite good. The dinner wait staff was also very good. The food was good but it great. The view from our room was lovely. The bar was quite nice.

We booked the hotel because it was in the center of the town, but it wasn’t and the neighborhood was not particularly terrific.

We expected more

The hotel was nice, good situated for walking. The breakfast was very good. The stuff was nice and assertive.

In the room: the walls were empty, without any picture and looked pour. There were no glasses on the table. In the refrigerator was only one small glass of water. Even in a 3 stars hotel the refrigerator ad more things. In the bathroom: no cosmetics, no douche-cap, no glasses, no slippers or robe, as we were used in a 4 stars hotel.
