A wonderful stay in Blois - beautiful town and incredible flat. Totally recommend.

Fantastic location on top of Blois town. Minutes from Cathedral de St Louis (we parked in their carpark) with its stunning gardens overlooking the town/Loire (and a super cute cafe for aperols). Very spacious. Decor very stylish. Very well equipped eg coffee machines etc. And a sweet little courtyard garden to relax in. The Saturday market in Blois was fun to go round, incredible bakeries and huge array of shops, bars and restaurants. Blois chateau also worth a visit (as it was la fete de la musique while we were there we didn't see their evening sound and light show, but imagine an incredible setting).

There is only 1 bathroom which could be less practical for larger groups, but that inconvenience was more than offset by everything else.

Fabulous

Wonderful b&b in old town house close to restaurants. Great room and great breakfast. We used as a stopover heading to the south as we have done on many occasions. This is the best b&b we have found so far.

Superb stay, would have liked to stay longer

Armelle was very helpful with check in. We travelled by bike and she immediately showed us to the secure bike storage facility on site. Our room was lovely, comfortable and with a view of the cathedral. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast room was lovely and we were left alone to enjoy the food. There was a little terrace too. Restaurants etc were close and were accessed down steps. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Charming hotel in the center of Blois

An absolutely charming hotel conveniently located in the center of Blois. The hotel is right across from the Cathédrale Saint-Louis with its iris and rose gardens, and just uphill from Blois's restaurants and bars. There is a parking lot right across the street. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel. Our room was beautiful and cozy and we also enjoyed the shared outdoor courtyard. Perhaps the highlight of our stay here was the generous breakfast, with house-made yogurt and jams, local breads and cheeses, fresh orange juice, etc. I highly recommend.

Beautiful place to stay - in a beautiful city

On our way back home through France after visiting our son in the uk, we had to make a last minute change of plan as to where we were going to stay. We booked ……at the last minute. You know when you quickly book something at the last minute and then discover you have found the most amazing place but…… you don’t really want to tell anyone else as you don’t want it to get spoilt! Well this was one of those places! The house was oozing with french character and charm. So clean, bright and well decorated. Wonderfully run by Armelle. There was not a thing that she had not thought of…… from the tea and coffee making facilities in the room to the just perfect breakfast. Having been very unwell in the uk, a night in this beautiful french maison really cheered me up. And surely we only managed to get a room because someone cancelled at the last minute - so glad they did! Thank you so much Armelle for sharing your beautiful little piece of french heaven and being such a wonderful host.- it was only for only one night but it was a most memorable one.

There was nothing we ‘didn’t like! 2 things to bear in mind: The staircase is steep, some agility is needed. When arriving in Blois make sure your ‘satnav’ doesn’t lead you a a steep very narrow roadway. Plan your route carefully!

A good stay in a very nice house

Nice big room, very nice house, excellent location, great view from our room which was located on the top floor across from the cathedral. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was great. There is a public parking (not free) located just outside the property.

A magical getaway

We had a lovely stay. The room was in the loft and, while quite cool in winter, the decor was so cozy. We had full, delicious breakfasts each day to sustain us for our visits to many châteaux. We were central to everything in picturesque Blois.

Beautiful old house in historic Blois. We were in the room at the top of the house which had amazing river and city views. The decor was very tasteful but also comfortable and relaxing. Friendly host. Excellent breakfast. We would definately stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but wished it could have been longer.

Loved the décor and attention to detail. The breakfast in the morning was superb. Our host was so pleasant and accommodating. She even had her son help us get the luggage upstairs.

The stairs would be a little hard to negotiate for someone with difficulty walking.

Disappointing for this price

Good location, comfy bed.

We had a last minute reservation. As we rang the bell to check-in, we heard the landlady through the entrance door sharing her unhappiness with some guests in the house. Good quality breakfast but very limited quantities. OJ given for one person, had to request for the second person - request was unwelcome. Too bad for the price we paid. Overall we felt like a burden.

Great location to see Blois

The shower in our room was very nice. It was great to have air conditioning. Parking was very convenient right across the street and was free overnight until 9am. The location was excellent and in close walking distance to restaurants and the old town.

The internet connection did not work. We travel without using our data when we are in Europe because of the roaming costs so it was very inconvenient. The main staircase was so crooked it felt unsafe. The bathroom toilet needed to be unplugged (electric) everytime we flushed because it kept running.

Everything is very elegant and tasteful at Au 16 Place Saint Louis. The room was very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was delicious (with something for everybody’s taste). Armelle is a very warm host and gives great tips to visit Blois.

A fabulous host in a beautiful home.

Armelle went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate four very wet and muddy cyclists. She allowed us to check in early, drove us to a restaurant to pick up our evening meal, reheated if for us and served it to us on a beautifully laid, candle-lit, dining table. And she upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost. Beautifully comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom with lots of thoughtful extras. We were able to use the salon to have a drink and play cards with our friends, which was an added bonus. A very good breakfast with carefully chosen products. Thank you Armelle!
