A lovely building in central Blois very close to the cathedral

Castel de la Comtesse is a lovely building very close to the cathedral but hidden behind the building that faces the cathedral. Breakfasts were excellent and, because the building is so central, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Blois castle is a short walk away. Unmetered street parking is available about 1/3 mile (500m) away. We would happily stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay ! The decor is absolutely lovely, and the hosts thought of our every need. We had a beautiful view of the city, the river and the castle from right outside our bedroom window, and everything was so close !

We loved everything and would definitely stay here again and recommend it very highly to our friends.

Super friendly and helpful host. The accomodation is located very central in Blois and within walking distance to everything. Having Glutenfree breakfast was no issue at all. Very charming building and rooms decorated in very authentic style. This was the perfect spot to start our vacation exploring all the historic sites of the region.

We had an excellent stay on all levels! We were two families with small children and Antoine and Delia welcomed us warmly, took care of us, and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, the location is excellent. Highly recommended!!

We only stayed a few magical days and wish it had been two weeks. We already plan on returning!

We can’t wait for our next trip to France so that we can return to the Castel de la Comtesse! The stunning decor and beautifully appointed apartment made us feel like royalty. Our hosts spoiled us with delicious breakfasts, wonderful conversations, and great restaurant and château recommendations. These are open, warm, and caring people who pay attention to every detail of their guests’ experience. Our kids loved them and discovered with glee their beautiful cat and collection of classic French games and Tintin comics. We feel so lucky to have found these talented hosts and their gorgeous guest rooms in the most historic part of Blois. Did I mention the breath-taking view on the château, old town, and Loire river from our window?

Sehr stimmungsvolle Zimmer in wunderschönem altem Stadtpalais zentral in der Altstadt von Blois gelegen. Wir waren auf der Rückreise aus der Bretagne für einen Stopp zur Besichtigung der Loire-Schlösser da. Tolle Aussicht über die Stadt und wunderbares Frühstück. Trotzdem ruhig und sehr bequeme Betten. Perfekt für eine 5-köpfige Familie mit zwei kombinierten Zimmern. Freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.

Mit kleinen Kindern muss man etwas aufpassen bei all den Antiquitäten im Zimmer und Frühstücksraum und der steilen Treppe.

Excellent séjour, endroit à tester absolument!

Nous sommes venu dans le cadre d'un wk mère-fille. Tout était vraiment très bien, le cadre, l'accueil des hôtes qui sont très a l'ecoute et de très bons conseils. Le petit dejeuner composé de: vienoiseries, pain, fraises ou autres fruits, confiture, café ou thé au choix et à volonté. Le cadre est juste magnifique, vraiment l'endroit idéal pour une virée sur le thème des châteaux de la Loire. Il se siture non loins du château de Blois, Cheverny et Chambord. Le logement se trouve dans les hauteurs de la ville de Blois, la vue sur celle-ci est remarquable. La maison a une facade qui vaut le coup d'œil, l'intérieur est tout aussi intéressant que beau et décoré avec goût. Nous reviendrons très certainement encore merci à nos hôtes. Je conseils vraiment fortement cet endroit.
