Room fairly represented photos on line. Bed comfortable. Decor good. Bathroom adequate but cold and without heat. Heating in bedroom an electric radiator set at 35'c but struggled to cope, very hot to touch. Let down by very seedy common parts \ entrance and smell. Adjacent club bar under very noisy \ boisterous. Choosing ones own room code and inputting to the operators mobile was disconcerting. Loft access meant room insecure. Clearly the operator is trying hard to achieve decent standards over time. Currently not a star worthy premises.

A grimy old little hotel - some of it is to do with the building and property, but lots is just to do with not-caring: they could clean it better and spruce it up easily - but they don’t bother. The rooms are also accessed with a code (not a key) which seems like it is never changed. The reception says it is open all day but it took 15 minutes of phoning and buzzing to get into the property.

Comfy bed, well situated for the bus station and bus stops. walking into town 10 minutes only. On street parking seemed to be permit only! go to Redbridge park and ride and leave your car there. the bus stops outside!. take earplugs because the music plays till 1.00am ish Hotel could do with refurbishing but for one or 2 nights amd at the price it was worth it

The place was dirty, there was paint peeling off the walls damp patches, wholes in the walls, rips in the carpet, plastic covering a window, no hot water from the tap so had to shave with cold water. No plug in the sink, screw showing through shower door, shower floor uneven. No reception on the television. Plug sockets and electrical wiring looked passed it’s bed. Very Noisy

You cannot be at the location. It is close to everything. Situated literally next to the bus station, it has a wide range of amenities nearby. It is just a few minutes walk to all of the major attractions in Oxford. The staff is very kind and friendly, even if they don’t know a lot about running hotels and making beds. They are extremely responsive to any needs. Try to not think of this as much as a hotel as a really comfortable and quiet hostel. Try and get a room on the top floor if possible, as the nine nights, we spent there, almost every night above us was a reenactment of Riverdance, including sometimes people Cooking and bringing in a lot of very stinky food. That is against the rules, however. Although it is right above a bar, it is not very loud, except on Friday, and the music turns off at 1 AM. This was not a problem for us, as we were exhausted from travel. Some of the rooms have en suite bathrooms, and those are nice. Some have shared bathrooms. Be sure that you know what do you want. While this is an expensive hotel, it is much cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Be sure that you can walk up four or so flights of stairs to get to any of the rooms. If so, it is a place to stay.

Fan blew out dust, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, stains on all carpets throughout the building. It smelled of sewage as soon as you walked into the building and in the reception area. The window ledge was chipped and unclean. All walls were marked and chipped too. Claims on street parking and there is none. Definitely not worth the price.

No lampshades on the ceiling lights - only exposed bulbs hanging from the ceiling , again in both rooms. Paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. Toilet seats didn’t fit the toilets . The hot water tap only ran cold water . The shower kept changing from hot to cold. In our room the wardrobe has no back or top on it . Both rooms had an arm chair with dubious stains on them. We had to move the kettle and put it on the floor to plug it in to an extension cable . We had enough coffe for 2 cups of coffee even though we had booked 2 nights for 3 people in one of the rooms . There was an inch gap under the room door . One of the rooms , the main bedroom door , which is a fire door , the specific returner device had obviously been broken just leaving the arm and the device had not been replaced - this is a fire risk. The walls in the rooms and all the way down the stairs has dirt marks all over them . The hall and stairs carpets were filthy with large stains and ground on dirt . The door numbers on some of the rooms were written on the doors with a sharpie ! We saw one guy once when we checked in on the reception desk . He gave us the codes to the door and then we never saw anyone again to try and address the issues . The noise and music from the bar below can be heard very clearly in the rooms until about 1am.

This is not a hotel, The only aspect that was in it's favour was it's location. The room was dirty and the bathroom had mould on the ceiling. It's a multi-occupany type establishment rather than a hotel. We could have stayed at a hostel and had a more enjoyable experience. No dining , concierge non -existant- Unsafe area at night.

I stayed here last year for an overnight business trip. It was pretty poor but I thought "it's only one night and it's very conveniently located". I booked it again for the same trip/reason and coincidentally got the same room. I was shocked by how much it had got worse. These are the standout issues I remember: The bannister of the entry stairs was hanging off wall. The room was dirty with stains on walls and furniture. The bathroom stank like dodgy drains or someone had recently done a number 2 before our arrival. The towel rail was hanging off the wall. The bathroom window privacy screen was missing so the building opposite can watch you shower. I will not be booking it again, despite the location.

Was terrible stay did not feel safe. There was no parking had to park in public car park. Room did not look like any of the pictures on the site. The TV did not work was only one free power outlet to charge my phone. There was only a security key pad lock on the door which did not feel safe so I have to put a chair up against the door. The bathroom did not feel clean so I did not even use the shower in the morning. I arrived at 5pm and had to call the number at the door has no one answered the bell. Then after checking the booking person at reception had to go and check the he room was ready. Would not recommend at all

Wow talk about grim, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, carpet is worn and threadbare, smell of smoke half way up the stairs from the room beside reception. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was huge, but everything was dingy and tired! Plug sockets broken, tv needed to be tuned to work, issues locking and unlocking the bedroom door, issues accessing the hotel from outside as the keypad stopped working

This place is revolting, there is mold on the carpet, the bedsheets, pillow and chair had staines on them. The room "key" was a post it note with a code written on it, the toilet was clogged when I tried to use it. The noise from the bar downstairs would have made it impossible to sleep. I'm glad I left without sleeping there. For anyone thinking on staying here avoid at all costs this place is repugnant.

The best thing about this hotel was leaving it. It was very badly ventilated and located in «pigeon central». So I heard pigeon noises at all waking hours, but that was not the worst bit. During a heat wave, a badly ventilated room would normally allow you to open a window, to get some fresh air in. But doing so would have led to an invasion of pigeons. So I had to take cold showers to have a body temperature that would allow me to fall asleep. And since I had to pay the full sum for the whole stay upon checking in (I can now see why they do that), I could not go to a different place, as I had no budget for that. Four nights of terrible sleep was the result. I was really happy when I left that place! Vastly overpriced and terrible value for money!

This property was extremely convenient to bus station at Gloucester Green…literally a 2 minute walk. The front desk person carried our heavy bags up the stairs which was nice since there was no elevator. The property is a bit run down. Our room (#3) had a very musty smell and needs to be freshened up. The carpet was old, bed was comfortable though. No AC which I guess is the case for many hotels in England. The bathroom needs to be updated as well. Cracked tub and shower does not work well at all. Have to hold it up as you are taking shower. No hair dryer and broken window pane that was taped together. Also, there is a bar directly under the hotel so the noise was extremely loud at night. You need a noise maker for sure.
