Hôtel Inn Design & Restaurant Chartres

This hotel is unmanned but open meaning that anyone can enter the premises. This meant that reception was being used as a smoking lobby. I telephoned the number on the door but the staff were unable to assist and the manager was neither present nor contactable. It is by far the worst hotel we have had the misfortune to book in recent years! It is nothing like the photos!

Basic hotel. Hard to find. Room very cold, heater is under the window covered by curtains. No air con if coming in summer. Small room tiny shower cubicle. Expensive room for what you get. Ok for one night

We got the wrong room, the staff apologized and gave us a discount on the breakfast. The breakfast was good and the lady at the restaurant was very kind. The hotel is pleasent and quiet.

This hotel is perfect for an overnight stop. The price reflects the quality to expect. We were very happy with our stay.

Service was bad. There was no airco and the shower was too small. The room was also very small. The price was too much for what they offer All in all this was our first and last time.

was all good clean but basic, down side is no resto on weekends

All good a 30 minute walk to town centre nice and quiet, only small problem was no milk in either room of my booking to go with tea/coffee.

Really good. Service amazing. Delicious food. Only downside was getting into the bed. It was up against the wall with no option to move it. Also, it is a new room so it hadn't had clothes hanging facilities fitted yet. Other than that, great. We would definitely stay here again

Hotel a bit difficult to find but service was very friendly. My room did smell of cigarette smoke which I didn’t like. Other than that no problems

Unfortunately, the ceilings are high and with little soft furnishings and very thin walls the noise from all the surrounding rooms comes through..I could hear people snoring, turning lights on and off and even peeing in the night!

Room was good and staff were friendly with limited English. Did not eat there but looked good value at €25 for 3 course meal and continental breakfast

Near to exposition centre which is good. Restaurant on site but food not great. The staff were very helpful and couldn't be faulted. Unfortunately the corridor is open to the vaulted reception area and so lots of noise when people are coming in.

It was extremely good value for money, we opted for the breakfast and dinner included deal and found both meals very good, especially the breakfast. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Booking in states you can book in from 2pm but the hotel don’t open till 5pm , English isn’t very good either nor the breakfast.

Cheap and cheerful hotel on edge of town by a trading estate. Restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket. Okay for a one night stop

Basic, budget hotel. Rooms were small but clean and family room was perfect with children. Staff were friendly, breakfast was better than expected. Good for stop over on our travels and would use again.

We only stayed the one night but have no complaints at all. Staff were pleasant, the room was clean and had everything we needed. It's always nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. Slept really well. We had to make an early start so didn't take breakfast but I am sure it was good.

The young Manager that welcomed us is an asset to the hotel organization for which he works. He was very friendly and accommodating and provided my family and I with exceptional levels of service. The hotel would do well to retain and reward staff like him.

On departure had to point out room had already been paid for.

Great place for an overnight stay. Basic accommodations in a clean, quiet environment.

Booked this only the day before so we didn't have much choice of hotel. Was only for an overnight stay to break up the drive from the Lot to Calais at the end of our holiday. We had a triple room with 3 single beds. On arrival, only 2 of the beds were made up, the third had a maroon cover on it that had a dirty mark on it and was covered in dog fur. Receptionist said that they never make the third bed up, even when there are 3 people in the room?! She didn't see my all concerned by the dog fur. However, she did manage to find a clean duvet and sheet and brought it to our room for us. The room was tiny, we had to take it in turns to do anything. En suite hadn't been properly cleaned- there was lots of hair on the floor and in the shower. We also only had 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel provided between 3 people. We opted out of breakfast, glad we did as when we checked out he next morning all you could smell was burnt toast and you could barely see across the reception for smoke, very surprised the fire alarm hadn't gone off. The hotel has a McDonalds, KFC and a number of other eating places within walking distance. The centre of Chartres is a 30 minute walk, or 5 minutes by car. I would not use this hotel again. I don't mind small and old fashioned, but I do expect somewhere to be clean. On the way down we booked further ahead and stayed at Hotel Kyriad, Chartres for the same price as it cost to stay here. That was luxury- big, air conditioned rooms and spotlessly clean.

Difficult to find. Two sat navs could not find. Lovely receptionist and great food. We did not like the cold cod entree on the set menu and she kindly organised another. Quite quiet for good sleep.
